Maybe right Craig.......But how do i protect the doors?.....any other ideas? On a black one they would look ok, but any other colour i would get them colour coded to match the rest of the car can toyota not do this, I dont really see the need for them on such a small car anyway we already had ones on our Rav 4 but they were colour coded to match the rest of the paintwork if the car was bigger i would get them.

i hae seen one in white with the side protection at i think it looks totally stupid if it was colour coded it would not be too bad i guess they would look good on a black IQ. On a white one it looks like it has sideburns

Yes it is fine now done 70 miles in it very nice car to drive and quite nippy for a 1.0 bit sluggish in 3rd but very smooth and the turning circle is amazing.

Ok i ended up reading the manual on how to start a car it now starts ok as i have never had to put the clutch down before to start the car sorry for being a dunce LOL i did not start it at the dealer they started it for us The black bungs have a small diagram on the bag it says they go underneath the the car will it do any harm if they are not fittted.

Picked up our iq yesterday got it home went to go out in it an hour later the car wont start so we had to push it out of the way to use our other car. Also did anyone have two little black plugs left in thier car it says these should have been put in under the car but toyota tols us not to worry about them. Not impressed so far

We only opted for a standard IQ too as we dont need all the other stuff this is just a nice cheap 2nd car for us our honda civic has got all the gizmos we need when we go on long journeys the IQ is just a town car for short jouneys.

Got a date now it should be ready next friday on the downside though i saw my first one today and our neighbour 2 doors down has one :( in white too. at least we can have a peterborough meet :D

When we ordered ours at the weekend both black and white is about a 2 week wait, we went for white in the end as our last three cars have been black and they are a bit rubbish to keep clean and show up too many paint issues.

now got our IQ on order got £500 off in the end Got £9300 for the part ex and £200 off the IQ should be here in 1-2 weeks :D cant wait had a test drive today and it is a nice car to drive.

Blimey :o well we have already got 200 off the car and we are hoping to get a bit more for our part exchange got a two hour test drive tomorrow then we can sort out any details and freebies i will let you know how we get on. Fingers crossed

So how does it work when you are excempt from road tax do you still have to have a tax disk on show seems a waste fo time for the dvla if it does. Sorry if its a silly question was just sat here talking about it with the mrs.

there are 20 or so for sale with parkers at local dealers prices start at 9799 all the way up to 13000 so yes it must be a mistake. As someone said if they do pay full price for it then it will be a laugh at the dealers.

Just thought i would say hello to you all, hopefully we will be a doing a deal on saturday to get a a little IQ as our 2nd car. I have not posted on here for a while as we sold our rav 4 that we brought a few years back for a honda civic which we still have but we are just about to trade in our Audi TT for an IQ we have got a test drive booked on saturday for two hours and then we are looking to do a deal so hopefully by september we will have an IQ. They look really nice we are still a bit unsure of what colour to go for as i think white stands out more and i think it makes the car but we have always had black cars and are looking at black. The Mrs wanted purple but we were told it's a 12 - 16 week wait. Did anyone get any deals on thier cars and what should we look out for. We have already got a price for the tt to trade in that we thought was fair and they will give us £200 off the IQ if we agree before the end of the month. Anyway thanks good forum too and some nice IQs

Hi I upgraded my stereo in my 54 reg rav 4 to the inbuilt sat nav and i have got a standard stereo going spare free to a good home if anybody wants to collect it from peterborough. I have no use for this as we sold our rav 4 last year and found this in my loft when clearing it out. Tried to post in the for sale section but it won't let me sorry mods if this is in the wrong section. If nobody wants it it will be in the local tip next week.

I too have got a touch screen sat nav but we got it put in our 2004 rav 4 6 months after we got the car by sparkydog who did a great job. I have got a 2004 disk in mine and i would be intrested if anybody has any info for updates as it does have a few roads missing now.

Only cars registered 2001 onwards come in to the new brackets before that it is the old rate which can be found on the DVLA website

They also told me it could not be fitted to my XT3 but i read on here that it goes fine so i got one from sparkydog and he fitted it for me too. :D Must say i have had it about 6 months now and it is the best peice of kit i have ever brought for a car.
