No oil leaks and just local runs

My Daughter in law has a 2011 auris 1.3 and uses about a ltr of oil per 1500 mls as the oil is 0-20 could i use a slighty thicker oil ?

Hi All My Auris has developed a fault in the instrument cluster all the lights are flashing like a christmas tree when ignition is turned off I did disconnect the battery and it cured it but fault has reappeared Any advice? Unofon
