  1. That’s what I thought at first but it now whines while in motion 1st 2nd and getting louder in 3rd and changes to what sounds like a Whiney diff in 5th-6th. It’s been in to the garage I always use they was surprised it’s nosiey as it’s a Toyota but came back with bearings in box but only real way to find out would be to split the box which is £400 then prob a clutch aswell as I am on 64k Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I have a 2009 Auris 1.4 d4d has no real problems til now got a slowly failing gearbox if you hear any rattling when on tickover that goes when u put the clutch pedal down I’d personally walk away as be looking at possibly spending £700-£800 quid to fix. Other issues are knocking from the front suspension which could just be bushes or top mounts. Other than that the car drives well and manages between 42- 47 mpg with mainly town driving Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Mine came loose last year I just got a new bolt and a larger washer and put it back on been fine since so I would try that first before looking for a new heat shield Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I cannot remember the name of the model of the wipers but these are the numbers off the invoice I have the rear wipers on there aswell Bosch H309 1 Bosch AR26U 1 Bosch AR16U Hope that helps. I do from time to time get a small patch in the middle of the drivers side wiper that doesn’t seem to wipe properly about 2-3cm not all the time but some times on the downwards wipe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I used Bosch wipers like what I had on car when bought it they seem fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I have a 59 plate pre facelift auris 1.4 d4d I've owned it for nearly 3 years and it's started first time everytime and haven't up to now had any problems with it. I mainly do short trips in it around town and the occasional 15 mins down the motorway and it's showing 40 mpg for this time of year which I don't think is bad the only thing I would say to do is to make sure any recall work has been carried out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
