  1. Oil change sorted, sprayed the wiperarms matteblack, spraygreased the servo cables on the sunroof. I cut the undertray at the last oilchange, makes oil filter much easier to get at!. But it makes the plastic tray flop down into sight.... So.... A piece of soft alloy plate, folded over the tray edge, crimped and with an upcurve bend = no tray sightings! Bit of titivation of my arch edges... Finally... I sprayed all the pipes and bracketry at the rear & sprayed the inside arch lips + along the lower sill edge and floor margin. Super easy to use this aerosol [stood in bright sunlight for 20mins... Nice and Warm!]. 11.4 out of 10.... YaY 2sav
  2. Found one..... 100% resolved issues, works great! USB Camera, on Google app store (look for Shen Yau) 2sav
  3. Just dropped thru the letterbox.... GR8! Problem is, so the web has it, getting a reliable app to give seamless display. Fully functional and is giving me <slightly> flakey images. Need to roadtest some Cam apps 🙂 2sav
  4. Postman Pat 'bingg bongged' with my filter.... Now, just need a dry day (oil picked up on Tesco offer) 😉 2sav
  5. .... cheap boroscope. Just ordered a 5M OTG android boroscope @£7.99 I'm wanting to see inside sills, chassis, doors and the sunroof cassette. Will report back.... 2sav
  6. I'm due an oil change, based on 12months driving (around 6k). CarParts4Less @£3.06 delivered. 🎱 Hardly worth the fuel to travel to get one cash!! 2sav
  7. ..... A tray of Budweiser will be furnished on Monday. Thirsty work, gassing + looking up!! 😵 2sav
  8. The great bunch of lads @ATS Wallsend have now completed the exhaust fix..... After 2hours on with the Oxy bottles replacing 3 studs + nuts the whole job was Free Of Charge! 2sav
  9. Well.... My studs arrived yesterday and ATS will try for a 'slot' *today. Given the possibility any/all of the old studs snapping, and drilling being the Last Resort, planning a 'lift slot' might be a sticky one! Will report back... *update - 2pm Sat 👍 2sav
  10. .... Would you adam & eve it! My centre pipe fitted a breeze 👍 My front downpipe/manifold flange is roaring like a microlite... 🙁 When the fitter refitted the front section (third time lucky!) he commented that "these fine thread Toyota studs are sods for stripping!"... So then = he didn't crank them hard up, ergo, Leaking!! The manager has agreed to source a set of fresh studs for me, gas burn/tease out old ones and fully refit the front with fresh gaskets... Great bunch of guys " Shout Out for ATS Wallsend!" 🗣️ 2sav
  11. Attempting to 'pop' the bonnet, yesterday, all I got was a groan and not opening... I had the Granddaughter sit lightly on the bonnet lip whilst I yanked the lever.... Still nothing 🤔 Thismorning I set myself up to remove the drivers trim panel (which holds the lever) for 'Industrial Strength Molegrip' action on the cable...... I gave it One More Yankk >> Boinggg! Open 😬 I have lathered up the mech with Poondland 'fizzy' spraygrease and cycled the opening/shuts about half a dozen times. I only drop the bonnet 6" to lock as I found it bad to open when I first got the car, after an enthusiastic 'affermative' closure (not knowing what was needed!!)..... Happy Now 2sav
  12. Dropped off 4:15. Now sitting at the ATS depot. Fitting booked 4pm Friday. 2sav
  13. DHL have Emailed me, I'm down @Drop73.... Should hit my front door 3 or 4PM. Then off to ATS.... 2sav
  14. My centre exhaust pipe section has finally given up the ghost... I have sourced a pipe from Ebay... after a false start = "stock misallocation" <we list them but don't ACTUALLY have one> ... should be here Wed 28th. £25 delivered and glad I found one! My local ATS is going to fit the pipe >> they were unable to source it through their central depot >> so hopefully not too spendy for labour. 2sav
  15. Nah...... I would need to 'air chisel' the face off the dash centre and 'glass-in' an ipod (a la hybrid 😕 ) Yes.... As an 'analogue guy in a digital world' I'm enjoying the flashy red LEDs. Ha Ha 😉 2sav
  16. DoubleChargerVolts ..... It has a nice blue glow and (engine running, here) gives a good show of the Charging Rate 👍 2sav
  17. My old Halfraud 'ciggy socket' inflator has given up the ghost... This is winging its way from the Land of Paper Lanterns >>> ..... Now lets see if we get another 20yr, eh? 🤐 2sav
  18. https://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/57430-4efe-tuning-whats-new/ ...... err 🤔 2sav

  20. Did a bit'o "Show 'n [no]Shine" yesterday.... https://auto****e.com/topic/36466-north-east-****ers-meet-today-1pm-a68-café-toft-hill/ Won 'best jap' & a choccy bar! (Well, better than something to polish all the time! 🤔 ) Great venue. 2sav

  23. Well..... I suppose, to be honest, you could pay WAYY £more for something else and wouldn't be *half as nice 🙂 *admitting slight bias 2sav
  24. Often, when we're out, the anklebiter wants to charge her iphone and if I'm using my phone for SatNav then the single charger insert isn't enough.... This seems just the job AND a half decent Voltmeter thrown in. Less than £3 🙂 2sav
  25. I feel like a '57 Chevvy..... 🎱 . . . . . . It's my Birthday! 🎂 2sav
