  1. I owned avensis 1998 1.8 gs petrol (the best for me). Power and economy. 2001 2.o Sr petrol. To many sensor and oil leak issues. But was good. And now 2010 1.8 petrol. Ok, but lacks power. Hands down to the 98 model engine. Never ever had a problem with that.
  2. http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/tutorials/article/167-how-to-remove-avensis-t27-wing-mirror-cover-to-access-indicator/ Hi Please see above detailed guide courtsey of Konrad C. Regards
  3. Hi Steve I had a similar thing with the seat belt. Turned out to be my bag . Didn't even cross my mind. Also could be you have spilt something on the seats? Regarding the EPB, unsure if are in the UK, But have you been driving in any deep puddles as this can cause some issues with the EPB as the unit is located externally in the rear. Regards Adil
  4. Depending on where you live and how much you use it. you will be without a handbrake as the t27 is electronic. Something to keep in mind.
  5. I think you're right as this does apparently affect the Mpg. My old vvti I used 5w30. But current avensis is valvomatic. Unsure if there is a difference.
  6. Thanks frostyballs. Appreciated. Little strange though as the service guide did state they previously used 0w20. So I guess all is not as it appears from the dealer as i do suspect they used 5w30. Looks like dealers trying to increase profit margins as the comparison between the 2 oils is a fair bit. Thanks. Adil
  7. Hi all Apologies if this has already been mentioned in previous posts. But just have some confusion on oil recommendations for avensis 2010 1.8. Previous service history stated 0w20. But this year I thought I'd get the services done myself due to costs. The service kit provided was for 5w30 oil which I was told this is the standard type for this vehicle. So did not question. Is the dealer talking through his ringer or is he right? I am from the UK so we dont expect artic conditions. Although it does feel like this at the moment 😆. No issues with this But just thinking long term. Thanks Adil
  8. Hi Unsure if someone can assist or point in the right direction. Have a 2010 t27 avensis, the petrol light gauge does not work. Neither on startup or when low. More annoying than anything. But nees to know of this an actual bulb or if it's all part of the unit. Thanks
