  1. Mmmhh Further investigation would need the sump to be removed and see if there is any metal shavings at bottom of the sump and check condition of bearings. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk

Good info on this link. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks for this post as i need to also replace the top section as the gearknob itself is still in good condition. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  4. Mmmh You might need to visit an electrician to check the entire electrical system as there might be a short on it. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  5. Hello@sveip Which model are you buying as per@FROSTYBALLS question? I have a 2011 1.3vvti model that has been reliable and faultless. I do my own maintenance, i got it at 159 000km in April 2018 and currently it is sitting on 240000km. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  6. Is the EGR Valve not on the 1.4D Auris? Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  7. Aircon is meant to be colder than normal fan air. Sounds like yours when you press the Aircon button does not activate the compressor to kick on. You might need to a Aircon shop for the system to checked out and tested. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  8. Please tell me more about that Bluetooth scanner you have. What make is it and where did you buy it? please post up some pics as well. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  9. Ok Oddly though, went outside now to park the car and the ECU Warning light switched off and didn't stay on. Switched off the car after few minutes and started it again and it switched off immediately. I am confused. I need to invest in a bluetooth scanner device for myself as i will be keeping this car for many years to come. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  10. Not the low temperature light. This is the warning light i am referring to. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  11. I knew that i was missing something to diagnose. Thanks for the Cardboard tip. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  12. Hi Guys So since here in S.A we started pit Lockdown my 2011 Toyota Auris 1.3 has been standing(14 days) and today i decided to drive it to the shops. Then the low coolant warning did not go off and i even bought 500ml still water and i have poured 250ml, but the warning light is still displaying on my dash. Car is not leaking any coolant from what i can see, but will inspect further. Any ideas Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  13. On my next visit to Toyota, i will check prices for a new gearnob as mine is worn out and needs to be replaced. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk

    Oil

Nothing to worry about as it is normal for diesel oil to change colour soon after a service. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
  15. So i drive a 2011 1.33 VVTI Toyota Auris and it is currently sitting on 236000km. Since it clocked 200 000km it has been using a bit of oil in between services maybe 1L every 10 000km which does not bother me much. Car gets driven hard and VVTI is used properly. Its has been reliable and faultless. I use Shell Helix HX5 15W40 which is the OIL that has been used by Toyota since new so i am sticking to it. I am now doing my Oil & filters(Air & Oil) every 10 000km since it clocked 200 000km. Sent from my SM-A307FN using Tapatalk
