Any one had issues with steering wheel stiffness when starting car, but after a minute or so loosens up. Got steering wheel fluid leaking under bonnet but cant tell where its coming from

Have a corolla verso t spirit 05, after heavy rain the rear pop up seats are wet. top lining of inside roof along with carpet under wet seats are bone dry. puzzled? any advise on where the water is getting in from plzzzzz
