    Rev3 + Lights

    I'm getting the rev 3 lights on mine, I think they look great. However, if you are thinking of changing, what about looking into the rev 6 ones from rogue, they look good also.
  5. Kakimoto systems are on loads of Jap imports, and they are 'average' systems, using fairly low grade steel. There are loads of aftermarket systems out there, my personal fav is Mongoose. OR you can go to powerflow or longlife for a custom one.

    Running the amount of power you do over stock, it would make sense to upgrade the brakes, even if just to fast road pads and disks. Lots of discussion as to which are best...

  8. Mine will be a daily driver/commuter as well. It's good to know that people with tuned cars can run such reliable distances.

  12. 300bhp: Unichip, charge cooler, zorst w/decat, induction... Should see you near 300 if not over...
  13. On the contrary, the setup is significantly better, but the robustness of the system isn't.
  14. Hmmm, high 13s for a chipped and modded one, not a standard. Most 300bhp 4x4 Calibras only make mid 13s and they have traction as well as power. Anyway, Cupra R - nice, lots of neat kit in there like the brembo brakes and the recaro seats. But is it an MR2, and can they be compared, NO! Totally different cars.

    Sounds like this MUST be a warrenty job - don't take no for an answer! Turbo technics are !Removed! expensive, but good. Don't even think of trying AET, they are poor. Other than that - Fensport sell replacement strnghtened OEM items.
  16. It's always good to know the right people - I expect for a £400 paint job you will get just the outside of the car done, not under bonnets, inside doors etc etc.

I would be interested in the advice from Dastek aswell - I wonder if they do a control unit for the unichip or something that allows it to hold more than one map, based on some predefined low and high settings? Personally I *think* I will go AVC-R Apexi and a FCD from Fensport. I notice there are a few cheap FCDs on ebay - don't think I should trust one - what do people here think?
  20. Looks nice, but not worth over 3.5K with no history and that mileage. Looks nice and clean inside, though aging a bit under the bonnet and hood. What about a AA check up on the mechanics if you are serious?
  21. Some have history, or at least going for one where the owner has bought the car from a reputable importer. Or get it direct from a reputable importer! What specifically are you after T bar/Non, whats the budget? I know an excellent one up for £5.5

    If you have a decent boost gauge and know a little about such things I would suggest doing it yourself - or finding a knowledgable person to help you or do it for you. Personally, I would probabyl take mine to an MR2 specialist to be sure.

    I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and there are loads of (confusing) options. Basically dependent of budget you can do anything, but for about £100 you can get the car to run 15psi (over the stock 9) using a G-valve and FCD. So in answer to your question, 15psi max on stock cooling, 17 if you have water injection or intercooler/charge cooler mods.
