  2. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/313498911642 These ones are made to order in the UK and rubber backed carpet. Not cheap ill fitting ones. Bit more expensive but also come with door step mats as well. series 1 and series 2 alphard available.
  3. This is a great thread. Would be great to see updates as you go along, we will follow.
  4. HI You should be fine. When i was in Mongolia every other car was a prius. Now Mongolia is very dusty and has a lot of sand.So you should be fine. As long as the vents are clear to ensure the car can vent properly then all should be fine. Oh by the way, Alphard are also very popular in Mongolia, they drive them everywhere.
  5. Introducing the new Toyota Highlander club more about the 2021 highlander here https://www.toyota.co.uk/new-cars/highlander/
  6. Out of interest, what fuel type is your Toyota? Please help us with our little poll. cheers
  7. I recently had my Toyota serviced at my local dealer. It was the second service , the first being the complimentary service from the dealer when i bought the car. The story starts with the first service, where i had bough the car from a Toyota dealer outside my area. When i received the car I noticed the rubber on the window blade was torn and perished. This got me thinking about the claimed service that it was supposed to have had. When i inspected the car thoroughly it turned out that it had not had the service. When i asked the sales guy he was adamant that it was done. So i had to put together photographic proof. So, in the end they sent me the parts so i could service the car. Last week it just had its second service with another dealer local to me. When i got home I noticed oil over the front bumper. After being bit once with Toyota Servicing I decided to go through the check list they gave. And guess what? it was half arsed service again. Oil on front bumper Oil over engine cover Half full windscreen washer fluid Air filter not checked (engine dust untouched) battery not checked (engine dust untouched) Pollen filter untouched. They could not clean the car due to covid, but the guy was happy to sit in my car with zero PPE or vehicle protection. I complained to the service manager who got back to me after his holiday (who lets email sit 4 days when your the service manager? 😒) and had the car collected. basically they did the bits they wanted and chucked a bucket of water over it and thats all your gonna get for your £190. The point of this post is, when you get your car serviced, please check the check list they claim to have done. I am sure this has been done many times to customers and gotten lazy. Only takes someone like me to pick up on it.
  8. Cheers Mike, i thought this might be the case. I was hoping it would be a case of depress clutch and press button 5 times jobby like it was when you needed to disable a seat belt chime. Could not find a sausage anywhere about it i wish i had got them to do disable it before i bought it. They were so keen to sell me the car 🙂
  9. Surprised no one has mentioned it but I would love to disable stop start feature without having to keep pressing the button. Drives me potty. Anyone have any ideas how to have it disabled by default?
  10. I have had the plastic ones before I wanted the quality mats for the summer. will get a tray mat in the autmn mate just did not like the flimsy back floor of the boot
  11. never really thought about that, i have a cargo net but not sure if things slide.
  12. When i do the fronts it should look good. These are easy to clean as its 100% polypropylene. i may get a rubber mat in the winter for muddy pram wheels. Mainly i wanted the carpet for the passengers but added boot in the mix. wanted it to look nice quality. would be better if i had leather @the fox will i have to hand my chequered shirts over? 😄
  13. LOl.. carpet costs more than the rubber one LOL. but how boring is having just rubber I'll take it out if they build the wall lol
  14. I got fed up with the thin floor on my 2016 Rav4, every time i put the pushchair in the floor in the boot felt a little cheap and also not something i wanted to get dirty. So I made a boot mat from Axminster Carpet, edged it in black and now looks smart (if you like tartan) I am gonna do the rest of the mats, throw those cheap ass mats out and have some quality in there. Will update when done.
  15. looked through the phone so many times. I am sure its a setting, but funny how its just the Rav4 bluetooth that this does it on.
  16. I have a 2016 Rav4 and it seems every time i start the car, the music i play on spotify via my Samsung Galaxy S10 is all the way down and I have to turn up the volume every time. Is there a way I can set the volume on the phone? It's only on the car bluetooth, any other time when i connect it up its fine, the the Rav4 system. cheers
  17. welcome sam.. good cars are the Alphard. had one for a couple of years, a great car to own. I cherished mine when i had it. They hold their value too!
  18. Sorry guys. advert should not appear now for those logged in.
  19. always find it surprising how many people do not say thanks after helping them out.
  20. Carclubmail is not a website thats the reason it has an insecure warning. It's not designed for people to visit directly. The link is for tracking purposes and the end result ends on on the club subscription page. We run more than one owners club (lexus we also do plus a few others) so we use a generic domain for sending out emails plus it also protects the club domains. Not sure what you mean by banking practice. The subscription page accepts Paypal and Stripe or even good ole' cheque. No other better procedure as far as I can see. The subscription page is secure plus we have been doing this for donkeys years.
  21. Speak to Andy at Profess Autogas. He is top of his game and he will advise you. Also 3k is very excessive, sounds like its a job he doesnt want to do. 1200 sound around the right figure for a Stag system. I used a flashlube on mine and always made sure it was topped up and had mine dripping once every 10 seconds.
