  1. Because, the SR is a Uk spec level. I am in southern Ireland so as far as they are concered such a part does not exist. Not true, I happen to know they have access to ALL regions and parts. If they say it's not on their system they need to go back out of it and select the region it's likely to be in. In other words, they're fobbing you off or they're idiots. :E
  2. I think it's already been proven that the majority of super car owners, particularly Aston owners (due to a survey) do also own a smart car to get around in for every day use. Smart idea from Aston, it'd be nice to see Aston do so well independently from any major car manufacturer now and if this is what it takes then I welcome it. At least they didn't use a smart car as the base for a cygnet ;)
  3. I'm afraid to say Reece is right, you really shouldn't get ice on the inside.... Unless you're calling something else ice when it really isn't and/or you live in Siberia you should not be getting ice inside your car. If I was getting ice inside my car, I'd be straight to the dealers!! As for the mould... get it to the dealers, that ain't right in any shape or form.
  4. Although that's been true in the past, I'm really starting to believe that it's all change from here since Akio took the reigns :D How many other CEO's use a well known pseudonym to slag off the dull cars his company makes? Hopefully my optimism is justified!
  5. Very nice! :D Two questions... what tyres are you rolling on, and is that satnav thing an official Toyota part or an incredibly good after market match? :E
  6. :0 I wonder what the yanks rated it in the states as a Scion.
  7. I dunno, that sky blue one posted looks a bit camp... must be a 3 door RAV owners thing? :D on a serious note, it looks a bit dull and docile... where as the first one at least looked aggressive and interesting. The sky blue one looks far too much like the current style to me personally. :)
  8. It needs a G Sport concept though, V6 ;)
  9. Well, I for one quite like it. Must be a youth thing... /runs
  10. Awww So close :D I thought I was nearly spotted then, but the date of the post is 7 days out BabyG. I've not seen another SR 1.8 either since getting mine, well, I've (ironically) seen my old red one once on the M5. Not sure that counts as I previously owned it for a year before getting my black 1.8SR :D
  11. I think the affordable one will be the stripped down N/A Track one which you posted a link to the other day Norfolk! That tuned turbo one, minus the carbon (unless they do want you to pay a pretty price for it? I'm not sure how much that stuff costs to Toyota as they have their own mill things to make it now!) will prolly be 30k plus as mentioned! :D Get what ye pay for tho I s'pose! Also, I can't find the link now but on one of the many places reporting on the G sports cars, they reckon the FT-86 and MR2 will at least hit the states... :D That Supercharged IQ might be a bit of a laugh as well
  12. That's what I'm talking about! :D
  13. Good info that shcm, might explain a lot! It was happening distance locations in my case. I'll mention that when I get around to take it to Toyota, prolly when the service is due :)
  14. the range was dented on mine, but again, it's cleared its self up. I'm not sure why, nothing changed, and it happened in different locations. Btw, I do have Keyless entry as well. :P
  15. Coincidently I had a very similar issue with my Yaris. The car refused to open on touch, or keyfob. Went to get the spare, but it started working again! took the spare anyway and left the original one to get the battery changed, however, the spare then started to act up! When I went back to get the original, the spare started working again... bare with me... I then had the battery replaced, on the original, and it still was a little dickie, but it's now been fine. apart from once at ASDA it refused to open again, same issues as the ones you've described. Anyway, spoke to Toyota briefly, they think the keys might just need reprogramming or something (someone spoke to them on my behalf I should say) but they said it wouldn't be a problem to do etc and just let them know when I want it done. :0 Strange issue indeed, but it's cleared up by itself. I blame climate change /snigger.
  16. Sounds an awful lot like the service plans Toyota are offering anyway? Not sure what that 0% Finance crap is all about though? It's not like you're taking a loan or anything? :S
  17. Good write up. I've had nothing but excellent customer service from ToyotaGB and my local dealer. It's pretty much guaranteed my business for the foreseeable future. The only thing stopping me was the lack of performance cars, which looks like that's being rectified now! :D
  18. Err.... where did you read that?? All reviews so far state power at 146bhp...... I could ask you the same thing, I've not read any which state 146. We're not talking about the standard 2.0ltr boxer engine here, which I think the 146 comes from. Also note that most reviews online are copying each other if they do say that. So which ever is right, won't know until official specs are out.
  19. Yarr, the 1.4 D-4D is a pretty sweet engine for the car. I always enjoy driving it when given it as a temp car if mine is in for a service. So economical as well. Solid car and engine. Anyway, I couldn't find the links for the brochures (PDFs) however, I've got the next bes thing. http://toyota.jp/vitz/dop/index.html http://toyota.jp/customize/vitz/trdracing/index.html http://toyota.jp/vitz/dop/package/index2.html Just noticed the alloys as well, are 205/45/R17... which you can't get from TTE/TF1 overhere. Going to speak to my dealer about getting those.... :D My Japanese (reading) isnt' great, but I found that. If you click around using the pictures, you can pretty much find all the TRD/Modelita body kits for the Mark II. Obviously ignore the engine upgrades as the Mark II in Japan still uses the same engine from the original T-Sport 1.5ltr.
  20. Kwik Fit are a bunch of ubiks. Caused massive amount of damage (exhaust) to my sister's Yaris. She didn't realise she had RAC cover with her Toyota so took it to the nearest Kwik Fit. Told her the Toyota branded backbox wasn't genuine etc etc and ... ahh no point going into it now it's all done and dusted and my local Toyota dealer helped sort out the matter. Needless to say Kwik Fit won't be getting a penny from me again (not that they did anyway, but as far as first impressions go.. lol). Barstools. Sorry to hear about your Tyre troubles though ABZ. Hope you get it sorted.
  21. Yeah, I've got that too, only when closing the drivers door though, or the driver side passenger door I forget which. I'm going to ask Toyota to do something about it when it's next in for a service. :)
  22. Hey mate, did you ever find that link to the mods catalog. I have a bit of a bug now :) Reliving my youth :) You know what, I couldn't find it and then I forgot about it sorry! I'll have another look as soon as I get around to it!
