Hi, after charging my 2018 Prius phv I ran the front windscreen blowers while the charging lead was still connected. Due to the good old UK weather and heavy interior mist I had to press the start button a few times as it turned itself off after approx 5 minutes. This resulted in being unable to start the vehicle in either ev mode or combustion mode as the 12v battery was flat. I managed to jump start via leads to my brothers car. My question is has the 12v battery failed or require replacing or is it just incapable of demisting a windscreen? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Thank you everyone for your replies. Mystery solved. At least now if I ever consider getting a dash cam it should be an easy job to fit myself.

Thanks for your reply. Were dash cams fitted as standard on these? There's not one present now but looks like a factory fitted lead? It's at the top of the windscreen though so I'm unsure how it would connect unless the cam would of been mounted at the top also?

Hi, new member and recent new owner of a Prius business edition plug in. I'm wondering what the USB plug hanging at the top of my windscreen at the rear view mirror is for? I can't find any info online or in my owner's manual. Thanks in advance. 😁
