  1. I'm envious...I'd love a trip to the South of France like you're planning. I think you'll be fine in the Aygo (I'm assuming it's up to date with servicing etc). I regularly do 200+ mile days, all motorway, when I visit my ageing Mum. I tend to hover around 60-65mph so engine noise is minimal and I'm always amazed by the excellent fuel consumption.
  2. We ordered a Dynamic at beginning of March (end of August ETA...) with a trade-in car. They did the valuation at time of order, regardless of delivery date for the Cross.
  3. That's exactly the thing, isn't it? The PSA part is Β£45 and utter tat on eBay is a quarter of that price...I know which I'd buy. You generally always get what you pay for.
  4. I tend to feel that, at present, you don't really have anything to complain about. Your chosen dealer is investigating - unfortunately not all problems (especially intermittent ones) are instant fixes. I'd be inclined to see what their opinion is tomorrow after they've had it another day. Have you been able to demonstrate the problem to the dealer rather than just describing it?
  5. Really hope you're right! Yes, all my driving in the Aygo so far has been since January so I'm hoping mpg will improve.
  6. 56 is still pretty good though, don't you think? My previous car did 40 max!
  7. ...same here, my DAB reception is first class!
  8. OK, for those who are interested, I've established that the dealer was Abington Motors on Wellingborough Road, Northampton. Nothing rides on me knowing but I sure feel better for actually knowing!! 😁
  9. They're questions for Paul I think @Hornet3D
  10. ...whereas I moved into Northamptonshire in 1986 but can't for the life of me remember where I bought a Toyota from just 2 years later (August 1988)!! πŸ˜„
  11. Correct! I once..almost..bought a car from there too!
  12. Your cover looks good! I had a similar one some years ago (from Storm Car Covers) for an old soft-top car I had at the time - it definitely didn't used to stick to the car in any weather. I tended to use it mainly in Winter, the only golden rule I followed was to never put it on a dirty car...consequently I never suffered with scratches or marring.
  13. Hmm, I'm really not sure. I remember a Honda dealership around that time that used to be near Super Sausage..on the hill. Appreciate your help if your friend can help. πŸ‘
  14. OK, I admit, this is an odd one. In 1988 we bought a new Corolla from the main dealership in Northampton - a lovely car and (..my wife often tells me) we probably sold it too soon! Thing is, I've slept a few times since then and I can't for the life of me remember the name of the dealership, or where it was in Northampton. Nothing depends on it, I'm only reminiscing, but it would be great if anyone has a better memory than me!
