  1. Well as mine is a Company Car it will go to dealership for first year or so - then they will send to independents to cut costs.
  2. Not sure how it works - but it relies on GPS and DCM from the car to track and navigate (something I feel i the $60,000 question as why does the Sat Nav work all the time but the tracking of journeys on the App doesn't)? Not looked into this on my lost journeys - but currently after disconnecting my phone form CarPlay it has been tracking all journeys so far.
  3. On mine the LTA is off and never auto-on after starting. So must be on newer models being default - like the stop/start on ICE cars... which was always a pain but was for environmental issues.
  4. If the Toyota dealership do their job then any work will be logged and informed via the App. My recent service is logged, a recall issues logged before that and also the delivery as first entry. I have had another issue that they had it in for a few weeks ago but that is not logged on. But pretty sure all services will be logged - but not sure if you do not go via dealerships though.
  5. When out on a motorway at around 75mphish you will see the ICE flat-line for about 20 seconds then come back on - but only if on flat or slight downhill... and if not jumping on the throttle... oh and if the battery is charged sufficiently to run EV. It also happens when in other speed-limit areas too.
  6. Just to let you know the App is still tracking all my journeys... and still not connected to CarPlay.
  7. +1 It is entirely stoopid to have differing specs for differing countries.
  8. Toyota... A bit like Tom Tom... Claim they are "looking into it" but so far: Tom Tom have taken 4 years to fix ongoing issues - and they did blame the Covid lockdown at that time - wonder what excuse they will say if i try contacting them again. So will not hold my breath on Toyota contacting me back after the last email i had from them on the App issue (6 weeks ago - although waited 3 months for that response 😲)
  9. Just to inform all... After disconnecting Apple CarPlay on Monday 20th February all my trips have been tracked on the App. So for me (so far...) not having phone connected via CarPlay has actually worked! Now this might be coincidence that Toyota have "fixed" the issue and that i have a new DCM Unit fitted... but until i know further - or even if Toyota actually inform they have fixed the issue - then i'll not connect my phone again. ...perhaps i might connect again on a trial basis and see what happens 🤔
  10. Exactly - you have to purchase (or find someone with) an OBD port unit to program things like this. These should be standard.
  11. Looking back my missing journeys and issues began after i first connected my phone to Apple CarPlay... and to test this I have since Monday last week disconnected it. And so far all my journeys have recorded! Is this a coincidence or not? Not sure - but i'll give it a few more days and see if it still works. Otherwise if it isn't the phone linking thing then it is just down to the App and software - although i only just had my DCM unit updated on recall and the issue was still there, but unlinking phone seems to be the trick for me.
  12. Interesting to know what the average cross-tyre wear is. My last hybrid i had correct PSI and they wear on outer edges on all four tyres. So on new set of tyres i upped the PSI to 3 or 4 PSI more - and had even wear throught. On the Corolla I have noticed on correct PSI the outer edges wearing more again - so after my 10k service the technicians lowered the PSI to correct - and I put more back in to ensure even tyre wear.
  13. Yes you can only have one account (I think) with one email attached - but you can have the app on two devices. Let us know how you get on with the flaming app though as I have had many issues with it not tracking journeys and after a journey to Carlisle - although i am home (180 miles) my car is still in Carlisle. Would be interesting to know if all was okay before you linked your phone to Apple Car Play - mine went wrong after doing this so am looking to unlink my phone from the car.
  14. It is strange as it tracks me to Tesco 2 miles down the road but does not track the journey back - but about 10 minutes later it tells me I am at home with the correct mileage and fuel - so why not get the journey right? But sometimes it tracks a journey outbound and not inbound - and for a day or two I am still at the outbound journey 😲 It is strange. Oh and still not had any response from Toyota (via the app or web) - as surely they will want to know their App is not right?
  15. My thoughts too - however new cars will have little niggles and faults. Used cars upto a reasonable mileage tend to be faultless due to all niggles ironed out.
  16. Was in Toyota today... And they found a rubber bush had come out of it's mounting (did not say on what and i didn't ask). But am shocked a rubber mount bush can just "pop out"! They have fixed the issue and now quiet again... ...until next time. Oh yes - faults so far (on a new 22 plate) as of 18th March 2020: 1. DCM fault after 6 weeks 2. Passenger front window rattling as you open/close (sounded like it would snap or crack at 3/4 down point) after 4 months - now seems fixed of its own accord 3. Clunking from front end when slow speed after 7 months - found to be Anti-roll bar bushes (replaced) but then still clunking - then found to be Shock absorbers (replaced) 4. DCM Unit replaced (on recall) 4 weeks ago - not fixed as still not tracking journeys (but did track journeys the technician made testing out on point 5!!!) 5. Clunking on steering - found to be some rubber bush has miraculously just "popped out" - now "hopefully" fixed 6. ? Who knows...
  17. Mine still the same. IIRC mine started having issues when i linked my phone via CarPlay... so... Today I had it in Toyota for another issue - and they drove it on 3 journeys - and guess what? They all tracked! I asked them how many times they went out and it was 3 times (all tracked)... so... I'm going to unlink my phone (Car Play) and try that. You never know. You do not need to link your phone to use the App.
  18. No I was just saying "if" they can. Well they must be able to if they can send you the missing journeys...
  19. TBH they might just tell me it is to do with signal strength. Really - in this modern times of good GPS locations? The Sat Nav works a wonder - so why can't it pick up the car?
  20. If they have the journeys then they should upload or send all of them - not just ask for what is missing. How can this app and car detect fuel, mileage and where i am but not the journey i made to get to where i am? Sometimes it locates me miles away too.
  21. Yes I have the same. I have informed Toyota and they are going to look into it again.
  22. As mine is a Company Car I can't do anything to it! Hope Toyota offer an update for this as standard soon.
  23. I have started to notice a rattle sound from my parcel shelf too... most annoying, but probably the cold weather. Will look into this at weekend.
  24. Noticed this a couple of nights ago - when pulling away from the kerb or pulling out/reversing from a parking space, etc. (so at low speed) there is a very loud clunking sound coming from somewhere. It does sound like the steering column from the inside... but open window and it is much louder and sounds like it is from the steering rack. Most concerning. Well contact Toyota dealership down the road for them to check and hopefully fix. Anyone else have this issue? You can hear it clunking away when you are turning a tight corner (say to turn the car around in the road or car park or whatever) but clunks in the same steering wheel position when right turning and like a rattle sound when steering left... Needless to say I have not hit a pothole or kerbed it... or anything.
  25. Not sure on differing emails as probably want one account to one email. But you can install on two devices - I have it both on my works and own phone.
