  1. Existing one has dead patches on the touch screen and no gps installed Got the chance to get a 2015 head unit with GPS out of a wrecked taxi Am I right in needing the GPS antenna out of it as well ? Where is it fitted from the factory ?
  2. I'm an electrician, I never disconnect the battery 😄
  3. Loom doesn't pass behind the rivets so luckily no drilled wires. If you look at the post above yours you'll see I fixed it and it was both those fuses you mention
  4. Thanks for the heads up The guy I bought it off has been getting it serviced every 6000 miles . I checked the oil on the dipstick and it looks fresh. Inverter coolant still a bright pink colour Drives really nice ( better than my Mercedes E300 bluetech hybrid that dropped oil everywhere and repair costs were spiralling out of control )
  5. Offside one is working, nearside one was flickering now gone off completely I would have thought both on the same fuse ?
  6. Sorted 2 blown fuses , Number 5 (20 amp) and number 9 (10 amp) I don't know whose idea it was to put the fusebox under the glovebox but what a PITA to get to
  7. It's not those courtesy light switches Saw this post from Craggle and might try taking the door card off and having a look at the locking mechanism Link to fusebox https://www.autogenius.info/toyota-auris-hybrid-mk2-from-2013-fuse-box-diagram/
  8. Yes , plugged everything back in, doors lock /unlock switch does nothing , electric windows working I've just manually locked each door one by one and then used the key to lock the drivers door If I touch the door handle the indicators flash 6 times but nothing else happens
  9. So it's been working fine, key fob battery is brand new Took the drivers door card off today to fix a blown speaker and while I've been going in and out the house I've been locking it no problem Now I've put everything back and it won't lock with the keyfob or the touch sensitive handle Strangely enough the tailgate is locked. When you get out and lock it with the key the mirrors fold in and the driver's door locks. Other 3 doors remain unlocked The indicators flash to unlock but don't do anything when you press lock Could it be that the 12v battery has drained while Ive had the door open for a few hours and it needs a run to recharge it ? Stumped
  10. It's an ex taxi 243,000 miles on the clock, so I guess it's out of waranty
  11. Can you replace the just the LED DRLs or does it need a complete headlight ? 2014 pre facelift
  12. Is that just one time or every time now? We'd just picked the car up yesterday and the low battery warning came on when I went to lock it. I changed the battery straight away. Voltage on the old battery was 2.8 volts , new one is 3.2 volts according to my multimeter
  13. Awesome, thanks for the tips. I shall go and try
