Hello, my wife's car has been playing up for about a month and finally the dealership identified that a new Skid Control Brake Actuator Assembly is required and they have quoted £1800 to buy and fit the part!! The car is only a 2014 plate so we didn't expect anything of this nature to happen. Firstly, could anyone advise if this part is programmed to the car? (My understanding is that if this is the case then I'll have no choice but to go with the dealership) Otherwise, would anybody be able to suggest any companies which I could potentially take the part out and send it off to in order to be repaired? Really hoping not to fork out £1800 right before Christmas! Thank you in advance for your help!
