  1. Hi Phil, Did you get my PM from earlier in the week? Kelvin
  2. Do you have a pic of the pedals? (Strange mod in mind!) Kelvin
  3. Hi All, I went to look at an 88 T Bar last night, which really was in surprising condition. The only thing that stopped me making an offer ont he spot was rust at the bottom of the A pillar on the drivers side. Now, it was quite crunchy and flaky, which concerned me a little. there was no sign of rust on sill end or underneath. So, before I part with the hardearned, how much of a job is this to fix? I wouldn't be bothering to do it myself, it would be a pro job. Just wondering if anyone else has had this done and the likely cost implications. The door closed first time every time with a consistent panel gap as well. All replies gratefuly received!! Cheers, Kelvin ( a soon to be MK1 owner)

    Engine Swap

Hi All, I have a Corolla GTi (AE92), I'm getting a MR2 (AW11). Now the MR2 has lunched it's bottom end. Is it possible/feasible/will the bugger fit (!) to transplant the Corolla lump to the MR2? Many thnaks, Kelivn
  5. Well, as the petrol tank decided to chuck 1/4 of a tank of fuel on a mates drive at the weekend, I'm not going to re-MOT it. So, it's time to break. All parts available apart from the engine, box, driveshafts and rear calipers. The bodywork is fubar, but the bonnet is good. If you want anything, let me know. (it's an AE92 BTW) kelvin
  6. If you do decide to break, I'd be very interested in the exhaust. What colour is the car and has it any test and rent? kelvin
  7. Look forward to seeing them, might be very interested.
  8. Hi, whereabouts are you in the country? Kelvin
  9. Do you have any pics? What colour is it? I'm only in brighton as well, so could be good. kelvin
  10. Bugger, and i bid 600 quid on Ebay!!! One of those weekends!!!!.........
  11. Hi Jon, No worries mate, I was just after the dimensions of the actual shelf, just incase there were any obvious differences to the rebates etc on the car. No probs at all. Cheers, kelvin
  12. you're a star, cheers. Kelvin
  13. Hi All, My AE92 GTi doesn't have a parcel shelf, so I am planning to do my best handy Andy impression at the weekend and knock one up out of MDF. It would be very handy and I would be very very grateful, if one of you lovely chaps could spare the time to take some measurements of your AE92 parcel shelves for me. I'm just after rough outline measurements to give me a starting point. Many many thanks in advance, Kelvin
  14. How much for a T50? Kelvin
  15. Hi, Looks like she may have to soldier on for another year, MOT permitting. If she fails the test, I'll repost. Sorry for the wasted posts. kelvin
  16. The wings are shot, hence the bodywork naff and the breaking! The sunroof is okay, but is starting to bubble a tiny bit. The areas around the sunroof had strated to go in the corners quite badly. Kelvin
  17. Hi All, I potentially may be breaking my 88 F Corolla GTi. Everything will be available apart from the engine and it's associated ancillaries. Gearbox is available, as are driveshafts. The bodywork is a bit naff, although the bonnet is good, but needs a !Removed! good polish. It's red so has faded a bit! the bodykit is good, neither of the bumpers are cracked, although they could probably do with a paint. The interior is also very good. Let me know if your interested in anything and make me an offer. If you want the wheels (standard in need of refurb), you;ll have to bring some steels for it to sit on as i need to be able to roll it. Cheers kelvin
  18. Hi All, Whats the going price for one of these engines (any variation) in good nick, with it's loom? Cheers, kelvin
  19. Hi all, I've been to look at a C plate Corolla GT. Now, it's dirt cheap, but I'm only really interested in running it for a month before i remove the engine for other purposes. Anyway, the car would rev to about 1500 rpm and then back to idle and then back up and down even when the pedal was firmly mashed to the floor. Regular up and down, up and down, very gently. Undriveable. I obviously declined and walked, leaving my number and email if he could fix the problem. The seller has just contacted me and says that he was advised to clean out the throttle body, which he did and it's now running fine and he has driven it about this morning. I know the battery is a bit dodgy, so i'm after advice as to what may cause this. is it a dirty throttle body, is it a dodgy battery? All help gratefully received! Hope to hear from someone real soon, kelvin
