  1. Guys, Ive been asked to join a friend on her round the world trip. Ive got the finances sorted (guess i'll have to buy my agusta f4 next year!). Thing is we leave in september, so i need to find somewhere suitable to sell the car. Gutted to see it go, but there's no point leaving it in the garage for a year (losing me money). I dont want to use ebay (as cars tend to go for really low money), and the autotrader want £60 (which is a months worth of hostel accommodation in Cambodia!). Ideally i'd like it to go to someone off the forum so i can keep updated, but if anyone has used/can recommend anywhere then please feel free to let me know or PM me. Regards (oh, and congratulations to anyone who graduated today!!!)
  2. Very sad news, shine on Mr Barrett..........

    Oh No!

Woke up this morning, slightly dreading the prospect of taking the car to an MOT centre where they'll come out from half an hour under the bonnet with a "sorry Mr Hough, your car cannot be rescued". (not that theres anything wrong with it, infact, its in great condiction, it was just one of those 'back of the mind' thoughts that dwelled on too much). Considering the cars 14 years old, it passed with not a single recommendation! The MOT guy even said its once of the cleanest and well looked after 14 year old cars he's ever worked on! Result. And to celebrate, im gonna post a few piccies. Dan
  5. JAHill Posted Today, 12:30 PM "Here's hoping that we start colonising new planets soon then!" Problem is that this used to be a typical view adopted by our previous generations - go where we are not welcome, invade, kill their people off, take their land, then go there on holiday 200 years later. I love Oz, the way of life overthere (well, on the east ocast where i was) was perfect. Its how living SHOULD be and i can totally sympathise with how frustraited the aussies must be. Its just a shame that a few extremist bellends ruin the name of an otherwise very peaceful faith of people.
  6. Mug Pink or Brown (ice cream colour you rude bunch...)
  7. If its a Rev5, then why has it got Rev1/2 rears? And which cars for sale? Red or black (not that i have space for another, well, in my real life garage i dont!)
  8. A standard supra would be doing well to beat a 12.34 1/4 time. Doubt that he "wasn't trying", more of a case of "simply couldn't compete".

  10. have you tried a loan through the post office? They give good APR's even with no credit rating. http://www.moneysupermarket.com/loans/
  11. Jesus, was the T-bar top already there or did you cut it yourself?
  12. 4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?" lol sorry, i aint posh enough for gold!
  13. lol, thats why i thought it would be nice to share!
  14. How many TOC'ers does it take to change a lightbulb? 1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed 14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently 7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs 1 to move it to the Lighting section 2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section 7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs 5 to flame the spell checkers 3 to correct spelling/grammar flames 6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid 2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp" 15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct 19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum 11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum 36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty 7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs 4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's 3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group 13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too" 5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy 4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?" 13 to say "do a search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs" 1 to hijack the thread and ask how to change the horn 1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again. And a Mod to close it down when it all goes a bit tricky made me giggle (So i thought id share!)
  15. fingers crossed, but this might make 'ladettes' wake up and realise that its all very funny that they're plasted blah blah blah, but if they can't walk because they've been ****** by some random hopeful, then the law aint gonna protect them. Call me old fashioned, but i like my ladies to be just that. Ladies. Not eye's half-closed staggering lambrini $lut$ dragging attention to them selves. Besides, the girls i know who get that wasted, only do it to get attention. Now they've got the attention (allbeit from a wierdo), they play the rape card. Pathetic.
  16. Positive Chris. I recieved an email invoice this morning now saying that the second order of tyres, (that were meant to be delivered last week) have now been reordered, and they should be with me on the 30th. Another week of using public transport because of them. Im going to send receipts of my train tickets to them along with my complaint letter expecting them to be, at least plartly, reimbursed. Service is appalling. :censor: :censor:
  17. tbh, i think mytyres are rubbish. I ordered 2 new 235/40/17s from them over a month ago now and they still haven't arrived. Ive sent countless emails to a 'Laura' person and all ive had back is 'they got lost with the couirer, i'll send some new ones out to you'. Well the replacement tyres are now a week over due and i haven't had any of my emails responded too. Waste of time. Had to use the train for a month longer than expected, at my own expense, all because on some 'cowboy' organisation. I will NOT be using them again and i wouldn't recommend then to anyone. NOT impressed :ffs:
  18. Arrrrggggghhhhhh! Ive just agreed that i'd cover a shift tonight! BO££OX! Take loadsa piccies so i can have a nose!
  19. I fcukin hate gas guzzlers. Still (an i'll probably get critisied heaps for this), but i'd love to 'see' them on the road when Mr Brown hikes fuel up. I reckon £5 a litre should see them and other environmental wasteships off the road for a while
  20. Sign me up! coz its a Civic a reckon it'll cheap as chips too. Hmmm, maybe a next weekend/toy/girlfriendsbirthday car!?! Mint
  21. not being an ubik intentionally, but he wasn't voted in, the first or second time. The first time went to Gore (okay, probably not a good thing either), the second time Bush was announced president before half the votes had even been re-counted. Also, 10 million Americans refused to vote (not didn't but refused, as in defaced their ballot papers) in protest against the lack of candidates. But on the whole i do agree, Americans are a little 'special' when it comes to academic ability. Having said that, has anyone watched Trisha recently!?! OMFG, dirty council claimants. :ffs:

    My New Wheels...

Yes! Love em! Volks all the way (slightly biased, but hey!) :group-cuddles:
  23. tbh, i think the wheels standard for 16v models. I looks like a momo wheel with perforated hand grips. Slightly squared off at the bottom. Seems like im just gonna have to rip it off and give it a go! Fingers crossed!
  24. Ladies and gentlemen, im thinking about getting myself (well, actually, pinching my brother steering wheel from his CLio), but im not sure if they'll fit. Is it just a case of undoing the centre nut and sliding it on? Cheers
