  1. Mk3 2003 Any tips on how to clean the seat covers? They look like they should come off as have zips but actually feel attached to the main seat. I have the standard red n black interior and the seats covers are in need of a clean after almost 50k. Ped
  2. No bolts on mine - there are clips that are stuck in the holes on the car. I cant get them out without breaking them. Will have to take it to garage as there is also one I cant get far enough under to reach. Thanks for the help.
  3. Thanks I'll take a look tommrrow then - Hope its a dry day
  4. Guys think this will be a quick one. Please see the attached pic of a part that just fell of the bottom on my MR2 Mk3 2003. Its plastic and looks like a protection plate. It came off the passenger side after getting caught on a raised driveway stone. It looks intact to me so. 1) What is it and what does it protect? 2) Do I need to worry about putting it back on (is it protecting something that needs to be protected)? 3) Can I do it myself and what do I need. Only have the standard jack. 4) If no to 3 can I take it any local garage rather than Toyota? Thanks, Dave
  5. Yes sounds very very much like the override for the Clifford alarm. If your fob stops working you can enter a 4 digit code using the buttons and it disables the alarm so you can drive home. One does the numbers and one is like an enter (I cant remeber which way round but its in the Alarm book.) Yours will have its own unique code. If your code was 1234 you would press the number key once > enter > the number key twice > Enter etc. If you dont have the code from the previous owner then will need to go to a Clifford installer and get them to reset it.
  6. FYI - Confirmed as clutch Main dealer = 660 Local clutch specialist = 380
  7. Cheers Pal Let see how much I get quoted then
  8. Ok so new clutch as in this is a normal thing when a clutch is going or new clutch as in something extra has broken. Is this a MrT main dealer sort of thing or any decent garage can do for me? Thanks, Dave
  9. Hi people I got an intermittent problem with my 2003 MR2 ~40k Miles. It’s a little hard to explain but hope someone can shed some light. Best way I can describe it is when trying to accelerate quickly the engine revs rise rapidly (~2k), while the car only gradually increases in speed. Instead of the instant power expected it over revs then the acceleration kicks in and the revs drop back down. It does not seem to do this from a standing start but more so when up to speed (>30). Its like what happens if you ride the clutch. The problem comes and goes from journey to journey but is starti
  10. Worked great thanks. About two turns and it was noticeably tighter and no rattle. All the best.
  11. Thanks - Will give it a go this weekend and let you know how it goes.
  12. The roof catch on the drivers side rattles like mad. It only happends with my hard top the soft is fine. Any one know of some solution to fix? Which screws to tighten etc...
  13. Dave, Yep I've fitted sensors to my MkIII 03 MR2. Got a cheap set from eBay and did it myself. Set came with two sensors, brain, beeper with screen and drill bit - For around £25. It depends what you want from the kit - for me it does the job, i.e. I don't rely on them to tell me when something is there but use them for me to get close to something I know is there. Get a few false beeps when you first start going but then is sound enough to get right up close - You could go for better quality sensors if you want more. I fitted mine to the plastic inserts either side of the number plate so if
