  1. Hi, my name is Branners and I run the Supra owners club over at For the last 5 years we have hired Santa Pod for an exclusive event with limited numbers on the drag strip and also space in the drift area. Each year we have opened it up to more and more clubs and this year I would really like to see lots more Toyotas and Lexuseses at the event. We have a limit of 100 spaces on the drag strip which avoids any sort of queues, generally you can do as many runs as you want on a fully prepped track. We have had competitors do over 50 runs in a day so if you want to get your car on the strip then this is the event for you. We have a limit of 35 spaces on the drift area, which again is a small number making sure the queues are minimal. We do not run the event to make money, we run it as a nice day out for members and guests so hopefully this post is okay on your forum. If you are interested in coming along then please visit our web site and if you want to buy tickets then please visit Hope to see some of you there, if you have any questions then do ask.
  2. Only a couple of drift spaces left, and some drag spaces left. Only 3 weeks away so nearly there. We have people from Driftworks coming along as well as some skylines, and a few other makes including we hope a race spec Viper. JB
  3. Hi folks, I'm from and thought it would be good to let you know about an event we are running. We call it Suprapod. It is a drag and drift day at Santa Pod on the 14th August 2010. We hire the place exclusively and then invite other clubs along. We are growing the event each year to see how we can improve it and I thought some of you may be interested in popping along this year. On the drag strip we have 50 spaces set aside for Supras and 50 spaces for non-supras. So 100 cars in total on the drag strip, and therefore no major queues at all allowing you to do as many drag runs as you want. We also have a drift area set aside with 10 spaces for non-supras and so you can drift pretty much as much as you want. Non member drag racing is £65, and non-member drift is £35. We run the event with the aim of breaking even and so it is not a day where we squash as many cars in as we can. Pop along to this thread for more info Happy to put aside space for TOC if one of your mods wants to get in touch. Would be good to see some fast Toyotas there, we have quite a few fast Supras running including an 9sec car or two. thanks Branners

If I pull my finger out and organise it properly then I expect about 70 to 80 Supras to be there. Its basically our big event for the year but mostly we all go on the Sunday with just a few cars there on the Saturday. JB

Not too bad really, expect 22mpg average, servicing is about the same as my Vauxhalls. The only problem is if something goes wrong then the time to dismantle things like the engine is way more than a normal car. Quite a few of the club members use their cars every day to and from work, its a Toyota so it just keeps going. They are also pretty easy to tune, £3ks worth of mods will give you a very very quick car. My old Supra had a decat pipe, blitz exhaust, blitz BOV and HKS intercooler and ran a 12.9sec 1/4 mile at Santa Pod. Thats basically the same time that a Lambo Diablo would do. It also handles pretty well for such a heavy car. JB
