  1. I'm certain its rust. And so is Mr T. As I have already said I'm either getting 2 new doors or having the existing 2 stripped and re sprayed.
  2. Hi all. Amongst other issues i've had with my Auris, i noticed small ammounts of rust on the seams at the tops of both doors (3 dr), just under the black rubber seal. I took it in to toyota be looked at, and i've been told the doors will either have to be taken off and stripped and re spreayed or i will have 2 new doors . Anyone else had a problem with rust?
  3. Hi Mart Thanks for your reply The remedy you describe fits exactly with what i could see when i got my car back last time, with the thick white grease e.c.t, they also changed my disks & pads, all round. Whilst its great that i am getting new brake parts for free :) the squeal & graunch return every time, As said, its intermittent at present , so i am going to live with it untill such time that it becomes a lot worse, and then i will contact my dealer and go from there, hopefully in the meantime details of the new fix will emerge. I've had exactly the same problems. Took my car in on wednesday again, as the squeals got really bad again!! And now i'm being told that its something to do with the ABS???? Lol i don't know what to think now..
  4. I had the same problem. Quoted the info from Parts-King and it got sorted. In the end!! I must say my dealer has been pretty good overall tho. http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.p...;hl=Washer+jets
  5. Actually, that is E15 Corolla; not an Auris. u see, told you i could be wrong lol, that dash is soo similar tho isn't it?
  6. I've had so much done to my brakes now, its getting rediculous. I have noticed since the last work done to the rear brakes, that they give out more dust than they used to. It's a nightmare to get off as well! Any recommendations on a good alloy cleaner? I use wonder wheels cleaner (which I believe is one of the best/top ones) but it is time consuming and even then still does not remove all marks - I have never found a cleaner or method of removing all deposits? anyone got any good tips to get those wheels sparkling again! Lol, tell me about it, time consuming isn't the word. I have the snowflake wheels, they're a nightmare to get at. Where do you get the wonder wheels from? Do halfords stock it? I have the same wheels! - Can't remember if it was Halfords or not, but i know they sell it! Cheers mate. I'll give it a try. Why did your rear brakes get changed? Had the rear brake sueal - albeit slight I've had all sorts of noises coming from both front and rear now, sqealing, howling, grinding. lmao. It's driven me mad, taking it back all those times. Been in atleast 10 times now! Still doesn't sound right.
  7. Thats a nice bit of kit! Image 18 (2nd to last) looks like an auris to me, you can clearly see the unique display. I wouldn't want to say for sure tho. You never know!! Get in touch with them. http://support.autodvdgps.com/index.php?_m...eid=1&nav=0

  11. I had this problem aswell, I rang my service department and basically demanded they were changed, and they were. There's no way its acceptable that they rust and they SHOULD be covered by warranty. Don't accept anything less!
  12. Hi, :D my auris is due for its first service soon, i've done 10k in 6 months so its come around quite soon. this is my first 'new car' and i have no idea what they look at. i'm just wondering what will be done and what the average cost of it is. any advice appreciated. thnxs...............

    Help

I recently had my rear bumper scratched, i took it to Toyota for the work and it ended up costing me £340 to have it removed! i think i got ripped now after reading GreyRacer's post. definitely no need for a new bumper!!
  14. thanks for that. Its just to the sides, and it went after about 15mins. I'll stop worrying now.
  15. Hi. My headlights mist up when its wet, i noticed it when i cleaned it yesterday. Is this ok or can something be done?
  16. hello there . I'm 6'3" and have plenty of room. And also very happy with my Auris.
  17. I really don't want tempt fate but, I had my breaks done front and rear, the works over a month ago now and everything is quiet. My dealer told me it was down to the resonance or vibration of the pads on the discs that caused the squeal. Who cares as long as they sort it.
  18. Place your votes here http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.p...=80447&st=0 Lets put an end to the debate.
  19. Here it is folks. An end to it all, he he. As a continuation to the discussion - Washers Jets Hitting The Screen Really Low Down, http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.p...=78072&st=0 we can now put it to the vote.
  20. i was just reading this topic with interest, when i came to this bit. my cars also booked in for brakes & washer jets! and wait for it....... rusty wheel nuts :censor: it seems the auris model has been cloned with exactly the same faults.... er, sorry, i,ve been told off once already for using the word fault.! so lets say teething problems shall we, on every car. B)... not done many miles yet ! so i,m just wondering if i should book it in for the rattle behind the dash, before it hapens I have to say this, Call them faults all you like mate, coz they are faults! Design Faults! I'm sure I'm not supposed to be driving at round at 70mph with a filthy screen that i cant get clean, coz the jets are crap. Or my, only done 500 mile, 4 day old, brand new car grinds to a halt sounding like a bus. My wheel nuts are rusting too! I believe Toyota did not intend for all this, hence why they are faults in the design!!!! Keep calling them faults buddy, I will.
