  1. dont get the auto, ive lost count the amount of times ive boiled the transmission fluid in mine even towing light loads..........or empty thanks for that gabbo i woz gunna ask about the pros n cons I've done 45k in my 3.0 auto - regularly tow a couple of tons. Used on and off road and lots of motorway work at high speed. NEVER had any probs with my tranny boiling or anything - Also running Gabbo's old 200bhp chip. Sure your box must have had issues Gabbo ...... The auto is quite a bit more thirsty tho'
  2. I'd guess it's behind the glovebox??
  3. I bought the Lux because it has more space than the Mitsi in the back and to be honest because I prefer the looks. It's good and strong and with no major probs in the 40k that I've done. Good off road too.Navara before and that spent it's life being repaired. You could also try the Hilux Pickup Club - HPOC.co.uk It's a very good forum, but they will of course be a bit biased!!
  4. Mine's as good as gold - lots of fast motorway work and lots of couple of ton trailer towing with no box issues at all. tyres are great tho - Thanks!
  5. I get between 24 and 26 but mine is an auto. A manual I would expect about 30. I used to have an auto new navara and when that wasn't being fixed (three back axels!) I used to get the same economy. Just running with Mud terrains at the mo (thanks Gabbo) and costing another couple of MPG. Had a long run to harrogate the other day and coming back with a bike on the back so I didn't go over 70 and for the first time ever I got 29 - dead chuffed with that but can't spend my life travelling at that speed!!!
  6. 2e questions : NO I found out that you actually can see a digital km/h. Its hidden in the diagnosis menu B) How do you access that menu??
  7. Just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU to G6-R. I did this today and it's so simple and works just fine. You should spread the word about this one as it has just saved me a whole load of headaches! Thanks matey
  8. Sort of sounds too simple to be true. Have you or anyone you know done it successfully? Doesn't the system use a GPS speed to track movement? If this is the answer, there are a lot of people who are going to be buying a lot of switches!
  9. 1e questions : yes you have to put a switch between the speedo cable towards the TNS 700 2e questions : NO A switch - that simple? Can you elaborate at all for me - such as do you know the colour of the wire, what sort of switch, and how do you use the switch? Sounds easy and worthwhile .....
