  1. Cheers for that Les. I had already read about your new exhaust - very nice ;) Surprisingly Kwik Fit got back to me - initially they said dealer only but have some how managed to source a new rear silencer and have quoted £147 inc. fitting. I aint sure of the price of a brand new one from Mr T so can't really compare but i am guessing that that is a good price. J
  2. Hey Having the same trouble as described previously and fed up paying £30 a time for getting the codes and getting the light reset. Les - looked at the ebay ad for the OBD2 reader - unfortunately it says its only compatible with petrol european cars from Jan 2001 onwards. My MR2 is registered in 2000, will it definately not work on my car? J Oh, while i am on - anyone know of where i can get a rear silencer apart from Mr T? Tried a few companies but they are telling me main dealer only!

  4. Thanks for your reply Les. The heat shield at the top is rusty, when i changed my cat converter a couple of weeks ago the heat shield was pretty much wrecked trying to get it off, bolts were rusted on and needed drilled out. The bottom one is worse and can't be repaired at all. Had a wander around a scrap yard the other day, will go back and get the heat shield, its in better condition than mine - i just though i might be able to get a new one at a decent price lol Cheers, J
  5. Hey Guys Anyone got an idea where i can get heat shields for my MR2 roadster? J
  6. Thanks for the advice guys! Will check all that out. I went to a garage in Prestonpans as i was visiting North Berwick and the handling got worse on the way there. Will keep you updated! 7. Hey Les thanks for the welcome They swapped existing front tyres (2 different makes) to the rear and the rear tyres (same make) to the front. Tyre pressures are 32 psi at the rear and 26 psi at the front. When i bought the car it never done this, even before the tyre swap. Its only been doing it 2 weeks but is getting worse :( J
  8. Hi, Can anyone advise on the following please! I bought a MK3 Mr2 6 weeks ago and up until now i have enjoyed owning the car. I have two problems with it. The first is that i need to replace the exhaust (front and catalytic converter) and have been quoted £800 for the parts! I have been told i can get these cheaper so i aint too bothered about that because it isn't urgent. The second more worrying problem is that when i am driving in a straight line, i am getting pulled to the left and to the right. When i accelerate the car pulls to the left, when i let up on the power it pulls to the rig
