Thanks again. At least I know it's not just something wrong with MY car. Maybe I'll av a word with the dealer re ecu.....don't wanna be parted from her for too long tho....the lift is too addictive!

have a look at my old ae92 gti in the gallery section (the crashed one!!) Maybe give you some inspiration?!

Thanks guys...yeh mine is pre facelift, so maybe it's not an un common fault?? I've only had the car 2 months now from main dealer (it was serviced (i'm told) when I bought it) but dunno if plugs were changed...not sure what effect this would have on the lights tho. It certainly runs and goes like I would expect....the battery is always fully charged too so I guess the alternator is ok. I'll see how it goes i guess! Thanks for comments....helpful to hear other peeps experience! :)

Anyone know why my headlights lights dim for about one to two seconds every so often (as if the air con or something else is draining the power....even when everything such as air con etc. is swithced off?) Normal driving, normal headlight operation.

I'm not a mechanic but can give you advice based on my own experience. I spoke to fensport this week about the same thing and they said fitting a trd panel filter to my cts would free up the throttle response a bit. In my experience (I have a blitz mesh filter on a st182 celica) the induction roar is superb, but I'm not really sure it makes much difference in horsepower terms even with a cold air feed unless the induction kit is shielded from the heat of the engine bay. (I have no proof of this however as have not had the car dyno'd). I found I was drawing in a lot of heat from the engine b

Thought I'd show some pics of my old Gti! 30mm lowered, 16" Speedline rims with yoko A539's, smoothed rear pillars, front splitter from Nissan Almera Gti, Rage (I think) clear rear clusters, Supra mk 4 led 3rd brake light in place of rear wiper ,powerflow system, Jap import AE92Lump from Fensport (after old one ate the bottom end) with Simota induction, full respray to original colour & various TRD/ HKS badges! Was due to take her to JAE at Billing in 2003. However, right rear suspension gave way and sadly this car was written off.

I just bought an 02 t sport and am finding no probs with getting it in gear, but do agree that 1st is a bit too close to reverse! The lift is amazing when she comes on cam tho! :P
