If i was gonna replace i would replace the whole cluster, speedo, rev etc haven't checked if original dial face is still there, will have a look thanks, but still interested in the 150MPH cluster!, Speedhut would have a solution if no other as they said if i take a digi picture of the face they can fabricate the dial for me and i can replace the whole lot with a glow dial (looks nicer too)

thanks for reply, the is not limited to 112, does more (obviously not on the roads :) ) as regards the bulbs i basically took them out one at a time and replaced them one at a time, the clock dial has been replaced for a 120MPH dial it just seems that the markings are not lined up correctly letting the light throug, the other dials light up fine its just the speedo, it kinda lights but very dim and not even light, but if the 150MPH cluster will work (out of a USA model i believe but picture shows in MPH) might be the best plan. Have found out a little more, apparently the car is a JDM modded import, need to do a bit more investigating unless anyone else has any info, its a JDM 120MPH speedo?!?
  3. Ha, ho guys and girls, just a question, for some reason ever since i have had my Gen 6 GT the speedo doesn't light up correctly at night, the revs and fuel etc are cool, it is a jap import but i have seen a 150MPH cluster for sale, now mine only goes from 0-120 if i replace it with this cluster (in MPH) will it work without any other changes? just before anyone asks, i have had the cluster out and replaced all the bulbs behind and still no help, i think maybe when the dial was changed from KMH to MPH caused a problem maybe offset from illumination. Any ideas?
  4. Hi there, desperate help needed here, i am currently trying to find some glow gauges for my celica, but the problem seems to be that say EBAY all the dials on there are for gauges that rev to 8000rev and a speedo of either 150 or 180ish, i cannot track down a dial for my car as the rev counter goes to 9000 and the speedo goes to 120mph, any ideas or is it something to do with my gauges? is it because its an import, any help from anyone would be appreciated, also i have changed all the stock bulbs on the gauge cluster but my speedo still doesn't illuminate properly, if i get some gauges no problem otherwise i can't see a thing! HEEELLPP Thanks

  6. THANKS Have already tried that just before getting your post and the problem persists! so its not the fan, only dissapears when your turn the inverter off!, maybe an earth!, but still puzzled by this bl@**y orange and white wire!.
  7. Hey guys, long time but i have been busy installing an in car PC system to deal with dvd, gps etc have run into a small hitch which i guess someone will know anyway Celica GT (Import) just replaced the head unit (which was kenwood) with a Pioneer no problems with wires except there is an Orange/White wire from the car which has no place on the new stereo but was connected to the old stereo, any ideas what it does/is? also everything was fine on the pc front using a Belkin power inverter to drive the PC but since changing the head unit i have really bad interference on the screen when powered up even thou its wired the same as the original!! again any ideas? seems to be picking up noise off the fan in the inverter so anything to do with this litte orange/white wire? thanks

  9. Well guys thanks for the replys .things are getting worst had a word with a local shop and the guy there said electrical / plugs dizzy etc so i will start there and thanks Mick didn't think about a fuel filter! DUH had the same problem with a fiat i once had and that was a filter! :D
  10. Hey, right here we go about a week ago i got caught and the fuel in my st202(import) reached almost empty anyways i filled up and no problems. The follownig day i was coming home and had the urge to boot it down the MWay (which i did! nice) and no problems but yesterday i picked up my partner from work and was on my way home, after coming off the Mway and onto normal roads when pulling away from a junction the car stutters until the revs get up and then kicks in ,the same thing happens when trying to pull away under power say in second sounds like a !Removed! diesel tank!. Initial thorghts were that crap had been sucked in from the tank when it run low so i treated it to some nice jet cleaning stuff in the petrol pulled out the garage after filling up and there was a performance gain but the problem is still there, down the MWay in 2nd 5k revs the car held back like being pushed from the front then kicked in again only to have the same thing happen at 6k revs and the clear again, sorted i thorght thats cleaned out the crap, but no!, the problem is still there even when still and idle ticks over at 1100rev and then drops and gets grumpy down to about 500revs?! now i know there are a few things this could be but anyone want to make a stab at this one before i start spending and as my little beasts MOT is due end of the month i don't want any mechanic telling me i need a new engine if you know what i mean. p.s everything seems fine at high revs say pulling away and on the motoway. Thanks
  11. Thanks dude, This does help ,just need to get in touch with Fensport i guess
  12. Hey there, its been a time since i last posted as my PC buggered up (wish it was as reliable as my car) but heres my question of two parts 1 .. My Celica doesn't sound throaty AT ALL so whats the best way to give it that low burble sound ? back end box ? 2 .. What are the most effective mods to increase BHP? and how easy is it to do on the engine i have? they have probably been asked before but i can't really find any answers in the forums so i appologise if these questions see familier but hey anything would be helpful. Cheerz I2
