  3. hi people i have always wanted to fit a fmic to my celica gt4 st185rc but due to most ebay kits the piping is no good as it sits right over the manifold and is no good for my liking. i would like some feedback if anyone has done this mod for a fmic clocked turbo.i have had a quote of £500+ labour all in without parts just labour.i have the fmic and the piping which came off a st205 for a clocked turbo and also a upgraded adjustable actuator..what price would i be looking at to have this fitted? any help would be aprreciated thank you

    not sure on the vvti but the tsport is something else my friend has a facelift corolla tsport tuned with nice mods.. very nippy lift sounds amazing and is very reliable
  5. hi im after a clutch for my celica gt4 in the process of completely forging the engine will be running around 350hp to 400hp for now i see the act flywheel and 6 puck clutch im intrested in..has anyone had experience with these clutches before..im also inrested in the exedy stage1 clutch any info would be helpfull thanks
  6. anything over 18psi on stock internals is no good piston melting territory just like leeky said best way is forged pistons im in the process of completely forging my gt4 stay safe otherwise youl have a big hole in your pocket..i ran 17 psi and cracked 2 and 4 piston on my st185rc engine was mint only 70k get some breathing mods downpipe,exaust,air filter,and a boost controler recommend 1.1 bar for safety you should easily see 300hp anything over will cost alot more money..im spending 4k on my gt4 looking around 400hp for now and maybe 500+ in future my friends st205 is running similar power but has not turned boost up and is still quick

  8. hi im after a forged engine for my st185rc possibly forged! ive seen 4 in the last few months for sale all wer cons had no receipts or didnt get back to me one guy didnt have a clue what size pistons they wer as he claimed 83mm wich put me off as they 86mm..i bought another rc engine low mileage i paid via paypal some subaru specialist in south wales very dodgy character watch out had me waiting a month and refunded my money the prik! he thougt hed con me until i said the engine would be checked by a gt4 specialist to see if was really a low mileage engine..things turned since never got the engine complete waste of time a very bad liar. please no time wasters or cons im sick of dealing with dodgy characters..i know enough about these engines ive owned 2 gt4s. if you have a st185 block forged or even a mr2 possibly rev2 or even a st205 forged il be intrested in buying aslong as you can prove its forged.no cons engine will be checked with a microscope lens by a gt4 pro :) pm me or give us a shout thanks ...

  11. hi guys ive decided to do a conversion on my st185rc using the st205 wrc engine from the later model..jus wondering what exactly is needed i have the e151f gearbox and the transmission as standard on the rc and is in superb condition.. will the engine go straight in and bolt up to the rest of my transmission gearbox,drivetrain,driveshafts e.t.c?? I have all the electrics sorted for the st205 ecu and wiring loom just need to know the mechanical side.. if theres anyone with info on this conversion let me know thanks
  12. thanks for your reply it could possibly be the turbo i checked for shaft play today has a little but none in and out..also the intake pipe on the turbo has a hose attached to the head think its breather pipe im asuming it could probably be sucking in oil from the head but still not sure..
  13. hi while driving my celica gt4 today i noticed oil spraying out the bov on gear change also smokes a little..i took all the intercooler pipes off and noticed oil in the charge cooler system and the inlet manifold. once warm sounds a little ruff but no knocks or bangs drives well holds boost through the gears also has a steel head gasket upgrade no oil mix what so ever.my mechanic told me its the turbo but not so sure as its still new hybrid ct26 any info would be apreciated thanks...
