Hi, for anyone interested - I had to have the pump replaced. Seems that even though it looked o.k. when cambelt was being changed, the pump started to go right after. Thanks for all replies and advice. Tom Roughly how much did it cost Tom? getting my belt changed next week

Hi, as you all know, I'm new here and have just got a 54 plate saloon Avensis. I'm missing a couple of things though and was wondering if people could point me in the right direction and/or give some idea of price. A) I only have one master key and one sub key, an extra master key would be nice for piece of mind. & B) I seem to be lacking the boot floor, ie the layer between the carpet and the spare wheel and help would be appriciated

hello - cam belt ---- have you changed it on 60k? - fine fuel filter --- what is condition? - what is smoke colour? - when all injectors were last tested? cheer/Igor Igor, Why would the cambelt affect the acceleration?

Try the dealer, seem to remember if its less than 5 years old and 100K on the clock Mr T will foot the bill, nothing to lose by enquiring

Is the D4-D an interfernce engine or not.? Asking because I have just read that Toyota use chains on the interference engines and belts on the non interference. I have a 54 plate D4-D and was led to believe it to be an interference engine but it has a belt?

First, thanks to all of you guys who replied to my earlier thread(s). Cannot get a confirmation of a timing belt change (despite FSH) so am going to get it done as a precaution. Would you have any reccomendations for a local gaage in the Newcastle upon Tyne area for this or is it a dealer job?

Who I could get in touch with at Toyota about the car I have just obtained. Its previous owner was Toyota financial services. 73k on the clock, full service history as you would expect. I want to confirm that it had a cambelt change at 60k ( I would assume it has due to a) full service history and B) being a Toyota fleet car) The dealer that was servicing it has changed their compute system so their records do not go that far back so I am trying to find out from Toyota's end Any ideas would be gratefully recieved

Its the mileage that I have my eye on, the engine sounds sweet. Im am used to Vauxhalls but have had enough there (long story). Are Toyotas ok to go much past 100k?

Hi, Am looking at buying one of these, a 54 plate diesel model it has 73k on the clock, was owned by Toyota finance services. It has full service history (8 so far). What should I be looking out for?
