  1. No way will we all have our cars recalled! Any improvents will simply appear and or be part of a mini face lift sometime in the future.. I agree the IQ trim can be troublesome although I sat in an Aygo yesterday and what a shocker that is :o .. It's really no where near the quality of the IQ.
  2. When cars are removed from the boat the windscreens are covered with various stock numbers and Vin numbers etc.. Glass is porous so even when the chalk has been removed it can still be seen.. Steve
  3. Im 43 and live in the Fareham Portsmouth area of Hampshire.. Iv'e been in the motor trade for 20 years selling everything from Toyota, MBenz, BMW and now Lexus.. I have too have a cat and also a wife and three kids.. Apart from the family car the IQ is the first car I've ever bought as I've been a company car user ever since! So far Iv'e lowered the vehicle by 35mm which has done great things to way she corners etc! Steve

    Wheel Spacers?

Yes, I see H&R had some.. I was trying to imagin if they would improve the handling further, like turn in etc!

    Wheel Spacers?

Because now she's lowered and handling real sweet... I think the arches could use the wheels further out! We'll see though! I drove the 1.33 version today and it certainly has more grunt!

    Wheel Spacers?

Im thinking about fitting 10mm spacers.. Anyone her know where I can but them from?
  8. The outta chrome part of the mirror is only plastic sadly which too me means more bling! Now real chrome is a different matter! They will become avalible in time and can be fiited to any IQ...
  9. Thank you, it's not really an exhaust system, These are just 2 dummy exhaust pipes i bought in the car shop. I, myself cannot use the centre, because I installed a trailer-hook in the middle, see picture Ruud I too would like my exhaust to exit at the center.. If anyone knows of one avaliable ?? Let me know please!
  10. Some of you may know I work for a motor dealer who have a Toyota centre.. I was speaking to one of the salesman today informed me they should have the first IQ3 by the end of the month.. He said he wasn't sure about it as it didn't appear to offer a huge jump in performance and had drum brakes on the rear! :o
  11. Thanks guys...All done!
  12. Ive been everywhere to see how to upload an avatar... Help!
  13. Agreed there although one shouldn't fit the dam things in the first place...

    Mpg Readings

Well I drove around with the flashing blob till she reached 365 miles......I bottled it after that!! That makes it close on 70 miles on the blob by my calculations! Maybe I'll carry a can of petrol with me next time and drive till she grinds to a halt!
  15. Rear window stickers are fairly easy to remove.. You may need a little tar and glue remover once done but its pretty straight forward.. Have you tried using a scraper? I also removed the "toyota" badge.. Looks so much cleaner now!
  16. The thing to bare in mind with the Aygo is the noise levels at motorway speeds.. Despite the IQ sharing the same engine the Aygo far more noisey, indeed even when one changes gear there's a vibration through the clutch pedal etc... Least not forget also that the IQ was origionally planned to be a Lexus which I guess may go some way to explain why it's so refined!

  20. [attachment=4726:DSC_8937.JPG lol.... Message understood... Will post soon! What springs have you used Tallman ? Could ask if a dealer fitted them or not and how much did you pay for the fitting ? I'd love to post a few snaps if I could work out how and where the hell one attaches too... The springs cost approx £130... and the dealer will then charge around £200 to fit...

  23. After much messing with various spring types I've finally had my car lowered.. 25-30mm and I have to say the way this improves the handling really did surprise me.. Its a little firmer than it was but I can now attack a bend or roundabout and the car still flat through out.. Happy days! Steve

    Mpg Readings

None of them go beyond a 60mpg reading...its a known "feature" ...so of course, the average figures will be wrong on the display, hence me (and others) doing a manual calculation Not sure what they use in Japan L/100 km like we do here in Denmark, or mpg. Also what about you UK'ers, do you use Imperial gallon, and is the iQ tuned for that or the US one? My last fillerup was 4.5 L/100 km on the display, and my manual calculation was 4.56 L/100 km, so mine is very acurate, and it's been like that since I got it. I don't even look at the blobs anymore, I use reset my trip B computer every time, and then I know exactly how much I can do on a tank. Last tank was then 52.3 US mpg, and 62.7 Imperial mpg with mixed driving, mostly city driving. When I get out on the country roads, it's no problem doing more than 60 US mpg aswell. Have they really made a display that can't show how economic the car is? :) Btw mine is the 1.4 D-4D, maybe the display is the reason you can't get the 1.4 D-4D in the UK? :) The way I work it is like this... I know the tank will hold 7.1 gallons / 32 litres.. Im currently hovering around the 50mpg mark so that will equate to approx 350-360 miles from one tank.. My last blob is now blobbing and Ive so far done 280 miles so therefor I shall continue ignoring it till Ive reached the mid 300 mile mark. If I run out I know the IQ mpg gauge is pants after all.......
  25. Working at a dealer as I do I can say the current bluetooth system is indeed a little dated.. My advice would be to go for a retro make which will be far more modern! Steve
