I took my car in today to refill the air con gas - all done - but it wouldn't work! Pipes clear, no leaks but no cooling either. My mechanic thinks I might have to replace the unit - sooooo expensive! Quoted £432 + vat for a reconditioned unit + labour or over £700 for a new unit. Does anyone have any other ideas?
