  1. hmm yeh well theres a idea not many mr2s in tassie tho no way id find a turbo 1 in the same nick as the 1 i have atm :( never seen a 1999 model in aus 4 sale other than mine nly has 88000 kms on it and was owned by a old bloke got a deal thats 4 sure :) if i had to go the conversion id have to go the v6 only young 1ce gentlemen :) lol

  3. yes indeed i have thought of the whole 3sgte conversion but .. too buy a decent engine with a good turbo on it cost ***** loads and even then id have too find some1 to do the conversion 4 me as i dont have the equipment to do it myself and a mechanic in tassie who can be bothered with it being midmounted . We dont really have any conversion places that i know about living in tassie as well means id prob get the raw end of the deal when i comes to buying a 3sgte best bet is to head to mainland too get it .. :( I only want to have it running at stock boost which is something on the lines of 8 to 12 psi for GEN3 ?? corect me if im wrong !! id have too change the pistons to forged lower compression then yeah thought they where the same :s

    Im Stewart. Im new too this whole forum thing so be nice i became a member because i own a Mr2 1999 model that has a NA 1998cc 3sge in it . I want too put a turbo on it the stock ct20B would put a smile on my dial but its not as simple as that i can get all the parts i need 4 it all ECU, Compressor, oil feed lines, Manifold, dump all that lovely stuff but i need t no whether My Gen 3 motor has the piston oil cooling from factory ?? What else do i have too do ? other than the ovious lowering of compression. I have done hours of research on these engines i read the only difference between the 3SGTE and 3SGE is the lower compression and of course the turbo ? Looking at a turbo trottle body its in a completly different set up too the N/A's one .. Is there a champion that can help me?? Ha !! S2ii :)
