  1. Hello mate i dont think that model has a DMF,if it has and it's faulty you should be able to feel a viabration through the body Shell almost like a missfire that's the normal characteristics. Normally you only replace the flywheel if it has excessive movement in it. You can adjust the clutch master cylinder push rod to alter the clutch bite point if the clutch is not slipping.

  2. What sort off tuning are you looking for mate, are you looking for somewhere to buy tuning parts from or looking for someone to do some mapping. There's TDI in essex for tuning parts and mapping, FENSPORT for tuning parts only,SILVERBACK performance in kent for tuning parts only.

  3. Hello matey have you checked to see if the EFI fuse has blown in the fuse box in the engine bay also while your in there you could check the opperation of the EFI relay which is in the same fusebox i've seen more of those go wrong than distributors and coils on that engine.

  4. Got a 2007 Corolla Colour Collection, 2.0 D4D. Had the engine management light come on, car stalled, but started and ran fine. Light went out when warm. This has happened 3 or 4 times over the last 3 weeks of extremely cold weather (fault always occurs when car is cold)

Had car checked today and got 2 codes from computer. P0093 (severe fuel leak) and P0607 (control module performance) For the record there is no leak on car....had it checked. The computer was also cleared.

Has anyone encountered these codes? Has anyone experienced this type of error? Could the cold weather have caused it? Are there any recalls on this part? (USA websites say there's an 80,000 mile warranty on this part?)

    Any help would be appreciated

Hello matey i have seen a similar thing recently, but not with those codes. The fuel lift pump in the tank has a gause filter on it you may have to remove the lower case of the pump to access it but its only a couple of clips,i have seen a thick black build up that floats in the tank it looks like mould and it gets draw into the fuel pump gause and blocks it causing cutting out and lack of power also it can flag up fault codes for faulty fuel injectors and faulty EDU (electronic driver unit).

You can gain access to the pump under the rear seat there is an inspection panel,if you do find that this is the problem after you have cleaned the pump i would advise to replace the fuel filter also

  5. Hi Guys, any idea how much it will cost to fit a new timing belt to a 99 E11 1.3 (4E-FE) (car has done 93k, dont think it was replaced at 60k)

Does anyone know how long it will take, i.e will i be cheaper buying a timing kit and getting a mechanic to fit it, if so where is the best place to buy one from.

they normally charge between 1 & 1.5 hours for that engine but if you know what you are doing you can change the belt in about half an hour

  6. any one know if there is or whare the adjustment is on handbrake cable its 98 corolla left and right cables

Hello matey the cable adjustment is on the left side of the handbrake below the centre console trim, sometimes you can pry the cover over and get to the adjuster if not you will need to remove the centre console to get to it.

  7. yes i've seen the problem but only on the 1.4 D4D Yaris ,on the Yaris if you remove the intercooler hose from the intake manifold you can see a throttle flap and below it there is a port that blocks up with carbon from the egr system if you remove the throttle body and unblock the port the vehicle will run fine. i hope this is usefull for you matey.

  8. hello mate i have fitted a mongoose exhaust to my g6r,it looks like the standard exhaust and doesnt sound much different but it's full stainless. the only problem is that i think they have recently stopped production of them,a friend of mine is looking for an exhaust for his g6r but at the moment he can only find a HKS system which costs about £500 and most of the people that can supply it are in ireland.

  9. hello mate i have a 20v black top my engine is running standard pistons but silver top conrods so that i can rev the engine higher & king bearings to allow for that.i have fitted a pair of toda 264 9mm lift camshafts , pipercross viper airfilter and a hks f-con pro ecu and when mapped it was running 196BHP @8500RPM at the flywheel. unfortunatley i've been having issues with the mapping so at the mo im just running a standard ecu.

  10. Hello everyone i found a list of parts at work that were used on the Corolla t sport to convert it to a compressor (factory kit).

I noticed that the compressor has uprated shocks/springs and extra chassis bracing so i thought some of you might be interested in the part numbers so that you could fit them to your t sports,im affraid i dont know the prices though.

  11. Hello mate water pumps can be quite common if your vehicle runs pink coolant, dont ask me why but we do seem to see alot of them. You can tell easily if its leaking by looking at it,if it's leaking there will be a build up of pink powder underneath the pump coming from behind the pulley of the pump. The tensioner is not to bad but you will have to remove the engine mount on the timing chain end because the main bolt that holds the tensioner is quite long so you will need to jack the engine up so that the bolt clears the chassis.Im not sure i understand what is going on with your brakes. If you had new pads and discs last year the calipers should have been checked and freed of then i would be surprised if they have siezed already.Sometimes i find that if you find a quiet road somewhere get the vehicle upto about 30mph and then stamp on the brake and hold it untill the vehicle stops that can sometimes free off a siezed caliper if it's not to bad.
