  1. Happy Birthday Big_Dan!

  2. Hi guys, The title pretty much says it all - the car is now nursing a war wound !! I think it'll need replacing, so if anyone has a spare white passenger mirror, or failing that knows if its maybe cheaper to replace both covers for chrome, as always any advice is helpful. Cheers, Dan

    Headlamp Bulb

Kalbaga, I replaced both bulbs in mine for HB4 fitments. Readily available, comes in a number of effects 'HID', clear white etc. Think I paid £17 for the pair. Only problem is the fitting configuration on the back doesn't fit into the designated slots. All you will have to do is file down part of one of the pins, and it will fit, to quote Mr Ventura himself 'like a glove'!! Hope this helps. Any problems give me a shout. Dan Dan is there a big difference and have you discreetly uprated them to 100w david David, This is me your talking too!! I bought them cos they looked pretty, do you not know me at all haha. To be honest, the wattage wouldn't be sure of, performance wise they have definitiely increased the distance with regards vision, round the country lanes is does come in handy. Dan

  5. Thanks Marcos The 2 stripes over the roof were on the car when I brought it ex demo. I was going to take them off, but actually think they look good on the iQ. I added the door strips that come in unpainted black. I had them sprayed silver to match the 2 centre stripes. It also gives a bit of protection if people open their doors on you. I saw David (Tarquin's) iQ with lowered suspension, low profile tyres and alloy wheels. It looked really nice and when he took me for a spin, the car handle brilliantly. I'm surprised Davids car even drives smoothly, seeing as he has made every effort to square off one of those alloys hahahaha I'm only messing mate, I still think you should use it as an excuse to get them painted white/black..... Glad you are liking the lights Marcandsebe. I am really glad I got David to fit mine. A friend even commented the other day how effective it looks when you walk close to car at night and the whole interior lights up. My DRL's are playing up a bit with the cold weather.... Grrr I'm hoping our guru can take a look at them when he is free, as it's bound to be something to do with my fitting Dan
  6. Blush Blush Blush Thank you Dan we got there in the end Hi David That is the one bugs me. The interior light is dreadful. How much does it cost and are you local to London? Regards Marc Hi Marc, I see David has told you the process and cost, all I can add is some feedback as to how they are working. It seems strange now I have the extra light, how I ever managed without it!! Just little things, looking for stuff in my bag without getting the torch on the iphone out, strapping in my son in the pitch black mornings.. The best thing is when he says he has dropped something. The old mission of trying to reach round blindly feel for it is now gone, as I can just turn the light on and find it straight away. Plus it does look pretty cool. I do think even just upgrading the main light on its own would have helped a lot, but I'm glad I added the extra light into the rear. Hope that helps Dan
  7. Sorry for the quality of pics, will take a few better ones with the camera, as opposed to a rushed iphone one!! You get the idea though, it does ligt up the whole rear part of the car. Dan
  8. I will take a few shots this evening and upload..... Dan
  9. Just wanted to post a quick message to say thank you to David (Tarquin) who fitted 2 puddle lights into the rear of my iQ, as well as upgrading the main light. The amount of additional light is very helpful, and they also look pretty nice as well. Although a simple mod, was done as professional as any company would have, if not better. Thanks again David, I owe you one. Dan

    The Squeaks......

What you going to do with patching out the airbags ? and the seat belt siren Dan No squeaks yet mate David Minor details David haha. I definitely need to see your handy work in the flesh too as ans when you are free. SInce I posted this, I've actually swapped for an iQ2, with the height adjustable lever, and dropping the seat down has made all the difference comfort wise - plus saves whacking my head when I go over the Gallows corner flyover everyday!! With regards the squeaks, I think I put on a previous post - the official line from my local dealer was 'when it's quiet, go up a slip road, and slam the breaks on, this will clear the break dust build up which has formed'!! you can't make this stuff up sometimes.

No problem David, Let me get it weighed, and I'll let you know a price for postage. Dan

    Iq Tonneau

Hi David, I'm pretty sure I have a spare one at home - my son sits in his car seat in the back, so i have no need for either of them really. Your welcome to it, I don't expect any money for it, it sits there doing nothing. Maybe just work out the postage cost and cover that. Cheers, Dan
