  1. I'd like to know as well, I guess its the seals though!? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah, I've noticed the same with my recently brought black avensis. When washed like very good, but having not for a while does look a bit rough. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  3. I'm after some minor bit of trim, but despite contacting three different people who were supposedly breaking an avensis on ebay none were helpful, two were saying sold and the other didn't have the parts. Now they might have be telling the truth, but my guess is the parts were too small to bother with, which I understand, but does leave me no further forward. Does anyone have any advice as to where I can get source some minor interior parts? Specifically seat belt trim through rear bulkhead, door trim over window switch and boot lining holding clip. I'm not expecting people here to hang the parts, just a good source. Thanks in advance. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  4. I don't know if it was rats or a dremal, some parts look too straight and planned, other bits could look like they have been eaten, but even though it's a mess, I personally don't think rats, looks like a dremal, albeit it a roughly handled one! I still have the old filter, it has bits of the foam still left in it, and dropping like 'items' but could be seed pods from trees as well, so nothing conclusion. I think I will do as you say, I have some foam and will make up a insert for the hole. Thanks to all for your input. Steve Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  5. So If I read you correct, the section thats been 'eaten' 🙂 should house a fine mesh cover? In that case, I can't just cover it over as it would stop any airflow in recirc mode? I'm assuming someone wanted more airflow when on recirc and removed the section, or maybe it got too dirty and couldn't be cleaned, so they just cut it out. Might get some mesh and cover it over, just to stop dirt entering the where it shouldn't
  6. Hi, I've got a similar issue of it popping up, did you ever get any joy at repairing them? (digging up this old thread again, but still relevant) Thanks
  7. That makes sense about having trouble removing the filter and then cutting away the above for access, a bit drastic though. I'll seal it back up and see if it causes anything, would t thought it would increase the airflow to the filter maybe? Could be to stash something, I will have a look and see if it is easily accessible from the glove box. Thanks for your thoughts.
  8. Just got a Saloon 09 plate and changed the pollen filter (what a mess that was!) and found the cut out above the cover, it looks like it's been drilled out, just can't think why? Thoughts? Should I seal it back up? Thanks Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  9. Hi, Not new, but: Ebay TSport Mats Steve
  10. Silver 05 T-Sport going West on the M42 near junction 2
  11. Well I've certainly seen a fair few around, but not too sure how many are on here, could be interesting to have a local meetup, just need to gauge interest ?? Steve
  12. Grey T-Sport in Swindon just going over the bridge by the BMW (ex-Rover) plant, today.
  13. Black facelift (I think) T-Sport heading south on the A417 (A419) most Monday & Tuesday mornings around 8am. Only see going in the other direction, so not easy to figure out pfl/fl etc !!!
  14. Yeah, I've got this, mine only properly holds in on one side, the door doesn't (or didn't) stay closed. I added a magnetic lock (brought from B&Q, for cupboard doors) and now it is ok, doesn't look too bad and if it wasn't pointed out most people couldn't tell the difference. I did enquire at Toyota about it and they only sell the entire centre console, I think it was around £170 maybe + VAT, so I didn't go for it. How badly is yours broken? Steve
  15. I recently had to replace my foglight after it encountered some debris on the motorway, I ordered one off ebay, but also got a black plastic surround free with it, unfortunatly for me it doesn't fit the Tsport, but may be of use to someone else. This is not a 'For Sale', this is a offer if someone needs a replacement one I can send it to them, all I ask is the postage is paid. I can't promise a rapid dispatch but will do so as soon as I can. So if anyone needs one of these, not just fancys a spare, please let me know, They are per side, and this is passenger side only. Steve
  16. Thanks, that will come in handy if I need to take it off, hopefully can get away without needing to!! What would you use the metal epoxy for, holding the fog light surround in?? Thanks Steve
  17. Thanks for the reply, Its on the passenger side so don't have the washer bottle to worry about, hopefully make it easier. The actual foglamp is basically intact, but the two clips are broken so no joy there, might be able to superglue it, but not sure if that would hold well enough!? But I guess the bulb holder would transfer from mine to the new one? Only other thing I need is the surround for the light, it was never very secure! Might try scrappers, but Corollas don't seem that easy to find at them!! Thanks for you help.
  18. Just got back from driving down the M5 where I had a brush with something bouncing down the road, didn't have a chance to avoid it due to traffic and the fact it was moving fairly quick towards me, only small about the size of a 'small' football, but get home to find my foglight loose, the plastic surround is MIA and the light enclosure is just resting in the hole! Now the questions! 1. I'm guessing there is no way to repair the fog light itself ? SEE PIC(the glass is ok, but the two screw clips are broken) I think the bumper is ok, because the screws are still in it, but with little pieces of foglight attached to them! 2. How easy (or hard) is it to replace, is it a bumper off job or can I remove a panel underneath? 3. Anyone got any ideas on price, would need foglight, plus plastic surround? Any help appreciated, Thanks Steve Edit: Ok after I used search I did find this pfl foglight replacement, but it does refer to a pfl, ?? Edit 2: Found this Corolla fl foglight - ebaywhich someone recommended, will try Parts King and see how I go, still need the surround though!
  19. I generally get around 30-32 day to day around town, have got 36 on a long run, but wasn't hanging around! Guess I could get close to 40 on a run if I drove economically, but who wants to drive like that :)
  20. Try Toyota, if you need a laugh, I enquired there and they wanted £200 not fitted!!! I'd try breakers if I were you? Not likely to be the most common part around! Steve
  21. When I got mine they were looking a bit 'used' (they were actually used!) I used a stiff clothes brush at various angles, then beat them with the back of the same brush which generated lots of dust, then used some car upholstery cleaner, the 'foaming leave on for a minute kind', they now look very good, almost like new. I also did some other mats at the same time, but they were very dirty so as well as the above I also washed them off with a hose, but those were rubber with a bit of carpet, I wouldn't do it to the Corolla ones because of the foam backing, might ruin them!?
  22. Yes, you jest, but I just checked back and they went for... £50.16 Delivered.....OMG I was quoted £56 from Toyota for them NEW These were used, wow.
  23. This might be of interest, Ebay Corolla being broken
  24. Err?? Did the op state which engine he has got? He just said D4d, that could be 1.4 or 2.0 (chain or belt)? ...or am I missing something?? :)
  25. Hi you'll get a better response posting in the Corolla forum. This area does state: There may well be someone in the Corolla forum with a solution for you. :)
