    Battery Change

    Ok, sorry for the misunderstanding...

    Battery Change

No, it is too early to say about fuel consumption because it is a cold day today. I'll report back in a few days!!! The tickover is more concerning.

    Battery Change

But surely tickover speed is a fundamental setting disregarding the ECU. Or is it dependent upon the ECU???

    Battery Change

Hello, I had a dead battery on a 10 year old IQ on Saturday. The car was running perfectly. After installing a new battery I have found that the tickover/idle has reduced to less than 500 rpm and it looks like the fuel consumption is down as well. What is going on? All I did was change the battery? What could be the reasons that an idle speed will go below 500rpm? Thanks, Nevica
  6. Hi Flash22, Do you happen to have a photograph please?
  7. Hello, We have bought a second hand Yaris 2015 and have owned Toyotas before. I note that when the door is locked using the key fob there is no indication on the dashboard (by a flashing light) that the alarm is enabled. On previous modles of Toyotas this has bben so. Should there be a flashing light to indicate an armed alarm on the Yaris 2015? Tanks, Nevica

    IQ Corrosion

Ok, so the 12 year warranty does not cover corrosion of one of the engine brackets to the frame in the engine bay?

    IQ Corrosion

Hello, I have an IQ 2010 plate and am the only owner. I was wondering what the corrosion warranty time span was for this vehicle. Current Toyotas have a 12 year anti-corrosion warranty.

I wasn't dismissing Frostys advice. I would hardly call them curt replies. All I'm trying to do is get information that is all. Thank you all for your advice.

Forgive me for being impertinent but I'm looking for an answer to my questions. I realise that you might get angry to my reply but I am asking what makes up a service. I'd like to know more. Frostyballs, your answers don't help!

Yes, I have had a complete Toyota service as well. I didn't mention that. But the whole point of my mail was not criticism on the oil change interval but more to ask if this is normal for the mpg to drop by 10 mpg. What could be the problem? What good would a complete service do and what do you mean in particularly by a complete service? ie break it down what needs to be done? Thanks,

    Mpg

Hello, I have a 2010 IQ and I am the original owner. In it's first year I could achieve over 60 mpg with normal usage. 5 years on and with 37,000 miles later I can achieve 50-52 mpg. The car has had regular oil changes with the correct oil. (2 full oil changes in the past 5 years). Can anyone suggest why the dip in mpg and what can I do to get it back to 60 mpg. Thanks, Nevica
  14. I think I now know what the problem is. :) There was in fact a very heavy object on the passenger seat which I am very certain is the culprit. Thanks for all of your advice!
  15. Wow, thanks for your analysis of what could be going on with the alarm. So, am I right in saying that that there are pressure sensors in the seats by the way you describe what could be happening?
