Satnav Update Problem

I tried to update my Touch & Go satnav software today and after downloading to my USB stick and inserting it in the port, after 1 hour, the message on the car display was still, "detected software update, checking software..." or words to that effect. Has anyone had the same problem on the Prius gen 3?

I updated the software last year and currently have software version 1.7.9H and map version EUH20120611.
