Hi, I have been saying that I would post a few pics once I had sorted my sounds...so here we are!

A bit of fettling, but not too much! ....I have fitted these Phoenix 6'5'', they have the biggest magnets I could find without having to cut any metal away! The position is so low down in the door they are hidden by the door pocket, so all the sound they throw out bounces straight back at the speaker causing a distortion, so as you can see I have cut the door pocket away...I was surprised at just how much difference it makes!! I have ordered some trim to tidy up the edges ...I removed the foam dish from behind the original speaker and installed as much 'dynamat' as i could to help produce a better sound and less vibration...

It's taken a bit of experimenting but it's paid off.....I'm very happy with it ;-))

Be careful as the "dish" you removed Toyota call a membrane and is there to stop water coming into the cabin through the door void, people damaging the membrane is a common cause of water leaks into the cabin, also if you have added dynamat to the inside of the outer door skin ensure any drain holes along the inner lower edge of the door skin seam ( if there are any ) aren't blocked or covered by the matting as this can cause water to flood in through the now missing door membrane. Otherwise looking good my Aygo's audio was quickly changed too

Hi and thanks! ...I was careful where I put the dynamat, and thanks for the heads up about the dish being a 'membrane' I shall keep an eye on that, I'm sure there is a way round it if I find any water ingress..........if this hint of spring keeps up I might test it with the hosepipe tomorrow ;-) ...Thats my 2nd set of rear Speakers, the 1st were Pioneer as I mentioned in another thread but in my naivety I got them off eBay and they were very bottom of range....the Phoenix ones are far better ;-)

The front dash Speakers are Pioneer 190w and I left the original tweeters connected for extra treble....I still can't get over how much difference cutting away the rear door pocket makes, quite logical I guess, but even so.... ;-))
