Click knock noise from steering

I am getting the dreaded knock when parking if i turn the steering to the right i hear one knock as soon as i turn the wheel if i take the wheel back to the starting position then turn it left it doesn't knock i read there is a quick test which involves unlocking the column and pulling it as far forward and down as it'll go lock it and try again i did this and it stops the knock so i assume its the same dry grease problem everyone else is having. Update - I had the car in the non-Toyota garage today they said they did the grease thing (discussed in the thread above) as some Fiestas do the same but it's not much better so i asked the mechanic if he had checked everything and if in his view it's safe to drive and he said yes, as a few members in the other thread said they didn't bother with the grease fix and after thousands of miles the sound had not got worse i have decided i am going to leave it alone and when i get the MOT and
