If anyone knows a toyota diesel specialist in broxbourne/Cheshunt/Enfield area please let me know the name or if there is a way to find such on the internet. My car has a problem at the moment and the code seems to indicate different issues and I am scared stiff of going to Toyota :help:

what kind of problems ?

I drive a toyota avensis diesel 2003 reg 2.0litre T3-X D4D, it suddenly stops accelerating and white fumes comes out of the exhaust, it does that for a little while and then suddenly starts moving well again after a thick black fume comes out of the exhaust or if you turn off the engine for a while.

This has been intermittent since for a few days now. I called out RAC and they got a problem code P1251 which according to them means Fuel shut off valve pressure regulator is malfunctioning. I have checked on the internet and in some instances a few people think the turbo is on its way out. The code does not give you a definite reason so it could be anything. I need an experienced mechanic to have a look before I start changing things that end up not being the problem and wasting too much money.
