Oil Leak

Not on my t-sport but on a friends 2003 1.0 Yaris. Haven't had a chance for a closer look as yet but oil has been slowly dripping off the lower front bumper, just right of centre as looking at it from the front. It seemed to have been spatterred forward from the engine as there were little splashes all over the lower grill and bumper and on the plastic cover underneath the engine. Will have a closer look when I get the chance but any ideas where it could be coming from?

Camcover gasket?

Oil filter?

The oil filter is fine. You might be onto something with the camcover as I've read that could be a common fault. Where do I find this? On the left hand side of the engine? Will be getting repaired in a garage but I want to know where it's coming from first.

If you stand looking into th engine bay, under the air filter(the big black box in the centre) is the top of the engine. The top bit is the cam cover... you can see a line all the way round where it is bolted down onto the cylinder head. The sealing is by a black rubber gasket - which can perish over a long period especially if disturbed and not replaced..
