Limp Mode: Code P1251

Going home the other night approaching a long straight uphill road!

Put my foot down (like you do) and half-way up the hill the car went into Limp Mode

Having read various Limp Mode probs on here remembered to turn engine off and re-start.

No further poblems other than the engine light stayed on until I filled up at the petrol station the next day.

Once I got to work I called out the AA man saying I was worried about the warning light… blah blah!

to get him to use his code reader, which gave P1251…

I looked up old threads on here and it says it’s Turbo Overboost

Anchorman said to lubricate something… (it’s roughly level with the air filter and held on be one bolt)

Had a look but not sure which bit ????

At least it’s not the dreaded SCV’s for NOW!
