Ive got a toyota hilux surf 1993 and im changing the engine oil but I dont know if I opened the right oil pan because the transmission oil came out if anyone know can I get some help

It sounds obvious but the sump plug will be in the engine oil pan, so drain off there and refill the transmission / engine and the jobs done

Somebody from the Surf forum should be able to point you in the right direction ;)

The engine sump bolt is at the bottom of the engine above the front diff.

If you have drained the transmission oil, you need to pour it back in through the transmission's dipstick tube (orange handle)

hi the sump plug is before the transmission if you go from front of car underneath working back you will see sump plug first if you keep going then you reach transmission .you could change transmission all while your draining should be done every two years i think ,you fill it through transmission dipstick i used a small jug it takes a while .
