Hi,

I need a decent weatherproof padlock.

It needs to be small enough to fit the small hole.

Any advice?

My current one rusted stiff!!!!

Cheers,

Thanks. Will that definitely fit the hole? Furthermore, the loop is quite long on that padlock, I don't want it to hang down, obvious it's been locked!

If you look at the site they do a number of locks to suit all purposes, measure your old one and match it up to the lock of your choice.

The lock is cosmetic - the cover can easily be removed with the lock in place. The important thing is that the spare is secured by a locking wheel nut.

Very hard to find a small weatherproof padlock. I used a non weatherproof one and changed it every year. I managed to get a marine grade one from a locksmith in Leeds. Best to find a locksmith with a big stock and check that it fits.

Mine is simply "locked" with a security headed screw and a nyloc nut plus the locking wheel nut on the wheel itself

The key to undo it is then kept in the jack and brace bag
