Yaris 2000 Fm Antenna Problem - Head Unit Works

Hey.

I just bought a 2000 Yaris - the cassette player and AM works fine - but I get bad reception on FM radio.

My sister has a 2005 Yaris - so I took my head unit and installed it in her car - and there FM works fine.

So there seems to be some antenna reception problem with my new car - what should I check first? The antenna on the roof looks fine.

Is there an antenna amplifier in these cars, like in BMW's? Is there a special fuse for the antenna?

Check the connection of the antenna to the HU, maybe the wires are loose, or maybe some rust in the connection of the antenna on the roof.
