Corolla Cd Problem

I have a 04 (but pre facelift) 04 T Sport. I've been very happy with it, but the only real issue is that the CD player has stopped working. It started to act up about a year ago when it would either not recognise the CD and eject it, or it would play it, but I would hear quite a bit of interference through the Speakers. However it now won't play any CD's, but just spits them all out.

I should add that the radio works okay. I guess this is beyond repair and was hoping for some suggestions regarding a suitable replacement. I have seen some on a certain internet auction site that include the entire fascia plate and wiring loom, but I don't want to just rush in and get the first thing I see. Whatever I get, it must include a facility to allow the steering wheel controls to operate it.

Maybe you need to clean it with a cleaning disc
