Tail Lights Issue

Hi all,

I have Toyota Corolla GLI, 1999.
From yesterday I have no lights on tail for brakes, when I turn on clearance light, regular light and high light, I also don't have lights in tail (all red lights in tail don't work)

All blinkers are working - also in tail. License plate light in tail is also working.
In the front of the car all light are OK, clearance light, regular light and high light.
Reverse lights also works.

Dashboard light are also working.
One more issue, with the problem described above, on dashboard ABS led light on.

Does anyone know where can be the problem and how can I solve it?
I checked all 15A fuses (15A fuse related to tail lights), the fuse is okay.

Please help.

Hi,

Only have circuits for the 2002 onwards, but expect yours should be similar.

The licence plate bulb and tail lights are both connected to the same junction so should all come on together.

Have you tested all the bulbs with a test meter or across a Battery ; the element may look ok but they can fail with the slightest crack.

If you have a volt meter you should be able to measure 12v across the licence bulb , can you also see 12v acoss the tail light bulb,

The brake lights again come from the same 15a tail lights fuse so again it could be, multiple blown bulbs or even a faulty brake light switch.

If above seem ok, suggest inspect the bulb holders and the wiring around that area and see if you can find the junction they all come from.

Have you been doing any work in the boot area recently ?

Is the car new to you ?

I checked the bulbs, 2 of 3 are okay.

It is not a new car. I have this car already a few years.

I didn't do nothing in the boot area.
