2009 Toyota Auris 180G Petrol Transmission

Hey!

I have an 09 Auris 180g petrol. Time for transmission servicing. Got some questions for the experienced folks.

1. When servicing should i do a complete flush of the torque converter as well? If yes. How often?

2. Is there a transmission filter that need cleaning/replacing for it?

In Europe, the Auris doesn't come with torque convertor automatic transmissions - depending on the model we have either the Multi Mode Transmission (a manual gearbox with an automated clutch), a CVT, or (for the hybrids) an eCVT.

There's an excellent write-up on changing CVT fluid on justanswer which outlines issues with correct fluid and mistakenly over-filling the box etc.

Should stress that I have no personal experience of working with the CVT box and it would be well to heed what Devon Aygo says in the link Frosty provided.
