Air Con Light Stays On After Ignition Is Switched Off

Toyota Previa 2003 D4D. Just recently the air con has stayed on after the ignition has been turned off and the key removed. I can turn the air con off manually as per normal but the air con lights on the mini screen stay on and only go off if I remove the Battery lead. Seems to be intermittent as sometimes that light goes off as per normal and sometimes I'll come back to the car and it's back on again. Any ideas appreciated.
