My auris has covered 34k, still under warranty .Dealer serviced.

Recently it has developed a grinding noise when opening and closing the drivers door.

Any ideas...simple fix or something more involved.?

Mine also have grinding noise on front doors. Went back to dealer and tried them all, every single one have that same sound. Probably have something to do with percieved quality. Tried spraying the hinges but sound is coming from inside the doors.

Does your profile need updating from showing a 2006 Corolla??

Sorry. Here it is. But I do own my old corolla which I gave to my mother. Is that count?

Cured the problem by covering the hinged joint on the door strap/ stay with grease/ Vaseline

I'd noticed it always comes back from a service like that so it must be a known thing.
