Auris 1.4 D4D reliability.

Hi all, new to the site, please be gentle!

Not new to Auris ownership though,  had a 2007 T2 1.4 D4D 3 door a couple of years ago. It was a good car, was in the family from almost new and had over 150k on when we sold it.

So, the question may seem silly but...Did we have a good one, or is the 1.4 diesel generally regarded as a reliable engine? 

We sold ours as it was a 3 door and it was quite hard to get along with due to the huge size of the doors for parking etc and practicality. 

However, we are now expecting a second child so I'm thinking a 5 door could be the answer. I'm asking on here as when doing searches for 1.4d reliability, nothing much comes up - which I'd consider a good thing?!

What are people's opinions and experiences of this engine in the Auris?

Two things I"m aware of are a recall in 2015, where oil could accumulate in the turbocharger, and dpf or too high/too low oil level can cause one warning light (yellow spanner) to come on.

The Auris is five door only from the 2010 facelift onwards.
