ABS problems

Hi, 

I jave just purchased an 08 corolla verso t180 which has been involved in a cat d and since jave noticed the abs and trc are not working.

I am bemused to what the problem is as i have no warning lights and when the ognition is on the lights come on and go off as they should.

The car has been sitting for a while and the brakes arent great as they are a bit pitted anyway. I have had it on a computer and the error came up with something like ecu on abs has no signal ? 

 

ANY ideas would be much appreciated

The light goes on and off does not means the light is indicated by the ABS computer. It raises my suspicion when you mentioned it is a CAT D. The light is easily rigged by connecting to another functional light like your Air bag check light.

 

You need to plug a code reader and see what it says.
