Spent the weekend replacing rear pads ,shoes,and disc ,what a flipping job ,at one point I nealy set fire to it.everything was sized up .I did find one of the back plates was rusty and holed ,so I repaired it with fibre glass and p38 sprayed it up with some black paint job done.I'm not going to pay. £70 for second hand ........

Wow... I have never seen or heard of a brake back plate rusting through; they are normally stamped out from quite substancial metal... @-@    What have you got in Powys... acid rain?  Don't mention what you have done to your MOT man... he might consider it an MOT failure issue!  Just saying...
